Sooo, today I'm describing one of the new Acqua Colonia fragrances, which could even make some of you a little Christmassy. Because this one contains vanilla for the first time. Well, seen that way it's nothing special, because vanilla is in there in an extreme lot of scents. But vanilla often smells very good, and in November or December also reminds you of delicious cookies or other pastries, which you bake or buy more often at Christmas than in summer.
Second, there's chestnuts in here too. This is also a nice indication for autumn and also for Christmas, or the Christmas market, where you can also eat roasted chestnuts.
Of course, you can also roast these delicious chestnuts yourself on the oven at home. They always taste heavenly and it smells so great during the roasting process. The only thing that can cloud the pleasure a little is if you can't get rid of the stupid inner skin of the chestnuts. And if you decide in frustration to eat the things together with their skin and hair, they taste terribly bitter :DD
Well, as I said they smell really good, so everyone who likes this fragrance could also like the following Colonia :)
The fragrance:
You can smell the vanilla immediately at the beginning. Very powdery, very sweet, very beautiful. And there are also the chestnuts. Of course they smell quite sweet together with the just mentioned vanilla, but you still notice that they are chestnuts. Because you can easily recognize the great, slightly woody-green-tart scent of these chestnuts.
However, the vanilla is much stronger and the chestnuts quickly move into the background, which I find a little unfortunate. It's almost as if you greedily ate all the tasty chestnuts quickly away, no matter if you don't want to get rid of the annoying inner skin or not :D
Also a little later one smells much more the vanilla, in general the vanilla is unfortunately a little too fast the main fragrance, so that after less than 30 minutes one can hardly really perceive anything else. The fragrance is already beautiful, but unfortunately also very simple and quite soon a bit too one-sided.
The Sillage and the shelf life:
The Sillage is, as it should be for a vanilla fragrance, quite intense and for a long time very well smellable on one or on one.
The shelf life is also quite good, the fragrance certainly works for more than ten hours.
The bottle:
The clear bottle has classic old-fashioned decorations in the glass and has a light brown label on the front. The lid is chrome-plated, cylindrical and has a tube-like ring as decoration on the upper part. Nothing soo special now, but still quite nice.
So, I like this smell here, yeah, really nice even. But unfortunately I also have to get rid of two major points of criticism: First of all, I had the feeling that the chestnut had unfortunately evaporated a little too quickly. This brings us to the second point, namely that the fragrance only smells of vanilla after a very short time. This does not distinguish it from the 1000 other fragrances, which actually only smell of vanilla, and is nothing special in itself.
But it is positive to note that the vanilla smells wonderful here, too. And for the fact that the vanilla smells good, and also not synthetic or sticky too sweet, one gets here a great smell with this smell note for a particularly favorable price, which radiates also just as intensively and holds long like other more expensive smells also. Well, if you don't have a great, but simple vanilla scent yet, then you should have tested this one. Unfortunately the fragrance seems to be limited, so I don't know if you can still find it.
And now... guys, give me some tips on how best to peel this stupid chestnut skin off, it'll drive you crazy. If I don't get them, I'll throw them in the fireplace! ...well, if I had a fireplace :D
Well then the tomcat gets them, who will throw them safely through the area, until they will land forever untraceable in the back corners of closets and sofas... :D
Soo, I hope you also liked this commi (well, certain help gods on part-time probably didn't, who then click on Non-helpful without reading the commi anyway, just to annoy you, because you don't like the author of the commi... tsss... what lowest level,... :D) and wish you a nice evening. And also a good appetite, if you now feel like chestnuts :DD
