Chocolate fondue!

There are countless rose oud fragrances, but this one stands out. While other competitors generally follow the "sweet rose with shrill synthetics - oud" route, Onyx comes with a dark, juicy and fleshy rose plus fruity Thai oud at the beginning. This is interesting because the eaglewood does not remain monothematic, but rather enters into a warm and gentle fusion with the chocolate. Imagine a bar of Swiss chocolate in the sun, but only the vanilla-twisted scent, not the consistency. Something like this. In combination with the fruity aspect, a kind of chocolate fondue with fruit and oud or warm woods. Yummi. And that with the 10 hour longevity, the sillage was completely moderate. Projection about 1 meter, perfect. With one spray. So rich that even Scrooge McDuck would be pleased.

Just right for rainy or cold days, but unfortunately hard to find...

Rose, rose, more rose and a little chocolate

As the title might suggest, the fragrance is carried by the rose. It moves into the background after about 5 hours and the chocolate and vanilla are given their turn.

An extremely beautiful composition that is 100% unisex.

As far as H/S is concerned, this fragrance is simply top class. One spray and everyone in the room knows you walked in, are in the room and were there three days ago. Seriously, a spray or two is all it takes.

P/L is also top, considering the quality of Aaron's fragrances. However, I would advise buying the 10ml bottle, as this quantity will last for at least half a year.

In conclusion, I can say that this fragrance is one of Aaron's most successful fragrances. I therefore give it a clear buy-sample recommendation.

Oud rose powerhouse

So I learned from this that I am not an oud guy. But even though I’m not a fan of the scent I can tell it’s high quality oud. Starts off as an oud bomb and then the rose kicks in and it turns into an oud/rose combo with a bunch of other stuff in the background I personally can’t dissect, but I am an amateur nose I am not trying to say it’s blended bad. The quality is actually very good in my opinion.

I made a mistake of spraying this on myself like 6 times and it was projecting like crazy for the whole 5 hours or so before I decided to scrub it ( and it was NOT easy to get off ). I am pretty sure I coulda got atleast 8-10 of solid projection if not more if I did not scrub it. It is without a doubt a beast mode fragrance that you probably shouldn’t spray more than 2-3 times. Same ballpark as sauvage elixir in terms of performance, maybe even a little stronger.

If you are an oud fan I think you should sample this. If you aren’t then yea you probably won’t like this. I was hoping for something a little sweeter haha.

Still gotta give props to ATH though. I love raw cherry and hard candy elixir and will continue to try his stuff out over time.

ATH is creatively maturing

I have 34 ATH fragrances in my collection and this is my new favourite.
This has a hint of PDM DNA in my opinion. Another house I really enjoy. As with all ATH fragrances this lasts forever and is of high quality ingredients.
I get very beautiful oud and rose combo that projects beautifully from my body. There is no ATH down and dirty accords in this one.
A very beautiful fragrance that I have no qualms wearing all year round.
