Beautiful light summer fragrance ...
Unfortunately, Acqua del Garda's products have so far received almost no attention here in the forum, which surprises me a little, as the range is quite varied, the prices are in the humane to reasonable range and the fragrances can be easily obtained via the homepage, sometimes even free of shipping costs
In my last order I dared to make a blind buy after I liked Zenzero e Vetiver so much and with 30ml you don't go too far out on a limb. The fragrance pyramid of Verde Acqua is very much mine except for the peach, so it was "no risk no fun".
First sniff on the paper tester, yoah light, summery, fortunately no headache flowers (lily of the valley can do that par excellence). Does not disqualify in the preliminary round...off to step 2: Arm! Yes, and then unfortunately there is something like skin chemistry, which in this particular case puts a spanner in the works. However, I have to say at this point that I am aware of this "problem", one of the reasons for my dislike of vanilla/tonka. For me, almost everything tends to be sweet, which is why I like unisex/herbal/green so much.
On MY skin, only a sweet stickiness of the top note components remains, heart/base do not exist. Silage is not lush, but okaaaaay for a summer EdT. I have to pass on the longevity because I wasn't masochistic enough for the test.
But I'm not giving up that easily - the husband is shanghaied and the woods are coming through on him! Ha! There's still a certain sweetness here, though, and he's not really into flowers, which I can understand, which is why this 30ml bottle will be looking for a new home (so if you're interested... ;) ).
So conclusion: it depends! Quite nice light summer fragrance but it just has to "fit" . I wouldn't label Verde Acqua as a typical green fragrance, at most if you understand it to mean the blooming shores of Lake Garda.
