There are countless rose scents, many convincing and unfortunately also less convincing. Perfume manufacturers have to come up with something if they want to attract attention with new rose perfumes and seduce us women (and men) again and again to sniff and buy. They are therefore always looking for pleasing neighbours who will let the flower queen appear in a completely new and completely different light. So it may happen that roses sometimes bathe in a sea of oud or it just drips of patchouli, musk or vanilla. Such a neighborhood can be quite invigorating, yes, it has its charm and sometimes such neighbors of the rose even steal the show.
In ROSA NOBILE, and this is what distinguishes this fragrance, the rose can bloom in a completely natural way, it can even be itself. Its natural scent characteristics - citric, sour, balsamic-spicy, sweetish-berry, creamy, woody, green-leaved, earthy - are discreetly underscored in this eau de parfum by notes of other fruits, herbs, flowers and woods, but the ROSA NOBILE remains remarkably simple and thus gets the rare opportunity to realize itself in scents. I think that this very moment gives her the nobility promised in her perfume name. When I spray them on, I immediately associate naturalness, elegance, nobility and above all the beauty of a single rose. No more, no less.
But good neighbors are important - just like in real life... sweet and sour mandarin juice and invigorating citrus splashes open the clearly and immediately recognizable rose fragrance in a stimulating way. Such neighbours do the rose good, give it momentum and strength. But despite the orange of tangerine and the yellow of a lemon, a completely different colour comes to the fore for me, namely green. It is a green spiced with rain showers at night, and in addition there is the border of still moist soil covered with moss. I close my eyes and see before me a well-kept, large meadow, which I would like to roam most of all with bare feet. The wet grass of Morgentau is adorned with iridescent water pearls and gives the wonderfully fragrant lawn something irresistible. My imagination takes me to an elegant Italian garden, typical of so many stately old town villas in Rome, Florence or Naples. The wrought-iron garden gate is open, as if to invite me to step closer.
And how I like to give in to this feeling, let myself be led deeper and deeper into the garden, which turns out to be an excellently maintained complex. Passing colourful borders with lilies of the valley and violets, I enter ancient, worn natural stone slabs. The path leads me to the tall, bitter-smelling cedars of Lebanon. Expectation is in the air... until I finally stand in front of the ROSA NOBILE.... she stands there in the most delicate pastel shades, modest and yet dressed with wonderful charm. A light green, richly foliated stem carries the pink flower, whose scent has a balm effect on me. Nearby water is bubbling...it's just a small fountain, and yet it gives me a meditative mood. In front of it stands a low bench whose armrests and backrests are decorated with tasteful rose decorations. I sit down on it, silently look at this rose and with every breath I take it deeper inside me. She is graceful and elegant, valuable, sensual and very, very feminine. And yet silence and simplicity are celebrated here.
ROSA NOBILE is a particularly beautiful, unique rose fragrance whose naturalness inspires me.
The 'peonia' highlighted in the pyramid, the peony, plays a rather subordinate role for my sensation, but I perceive it nevertheless, enjoy its citric, almost peppery-bitter spice. But the real radiance in this rose water comes from a single rose, the precious Centifolia, the so-called Provence rose, which originates from various ancient rose varieties, including Damascene rose. Its flower is luxuriant and strongly filled, it grows overhanging and reminds of the wild rose, the 'Rosa Gallica' - the most original rose at all, to which (via the detour of the dog rose) still today many modern rose breeds go back.
The Eau de Parfum undergoes a very beautiful, for me well perceptible development, in which all the above described scent characteristics of a single healthy 'old rose' come to the development. The pleasure of only a few sprays lasts 5 to 6 hours with me, just right! I think the bottle is very suitable, because it is simple and elegant, just like its contents.
I got to know and love the fragrance through my rose friend Clarissa here on Parfumo - Thank you, Clarissa for so many beautiful rose scent samples! And yet it took me half a year to own it myself. The decisive impulse for the purchase came from Couchlock, whom I would like to thank very much for his generous scent samples of the floral perfumes of 'Acqua di Parma'
