In the shadow of the crater
They got up extra early to climb the volcano, to escape the autumnal heat and also the crowds. They spend the day at the crater rim, watching the bizarre rock scenery through the rising clouds of smoke. As the sun slowly sinks into the sea, they set off on the long journey home.
They descend from the bare rocks and pass through already harvested lemon groves. A few fruits have been overlooked, a very light, sweet smell is still in the air.
Deeper, it's getting warmer. The tobacco has already been harvested and is hanging by the wayside to dry. Spicy and warm it envelops the walkers and eases their steps until they have reached their destination in the hilly town above the sea. They walk through the narrow streets to their cafe and sink exhausted on the creaking wooden chairs. The stone walls radiate the warmth of the day.
The old folks are here as usual. They roll the dice for old coins, for which nothing can be bought for a long time, enjoy the mild evening, celebrate life. Their wooden pipes are ready. Dolci are served and Torta alla Vangnilia. The candles light up the night in amber. Closely embraced they go to their room.
Tomorrow we will go up to the volcano again...
----------
Tabacco e Bergamotto di Taormina is a very nice, warm tobacco flatterer with slightly spicy notes (cinnamon) and a base of some wood, amber, vanilla and musk. It can be worn on warm days, but it should not be too hot. For the winter it would not be my first choice either. It lasts about 5 hours on the skin and I would definitely call it unisex
