Bergamota Ámbar
I already had 9 fragrances in my collection and my last acquisition had been Prada's Amber pour homme, back in early 2019. I had pretty much every scenario covered and was more than okay with the collection as it was. So much so that for four years I was just rebuying the ones I finished (Aqva pour homme, Bleu EDT, Acqua Di Gio Profumo). Ironically enough, I love citrus scents while being a winter person who would, without hesitation, live my whole life in the cold, if I could.
Now, Bergamota Ámbar (BA) and Citrus Cedro (CC) by Adolfo Domínguez were the first additions I made to it in more than four years (not mentioning the ones I had been gifted birthrates and Christmas, of course). I remember unboxing BA and saying to myself: 'wow, this is a beautiful scent. Can't wait for summer to wear it properly!'. I loved it, and still do.
In a nutshell, Bergamota Ámbar is a handsome, fresh citrus fragrance, best suited for the hot days of spring and summer. It's a well rounded scent, that doesn't change much during is life. After its drydown, it settles in a fresh and clean bergamot with a woody undertone that gives it body and keeps it grounded, so to speak.
I think it's best suited for a daily use, be it in the office (unless you work in a highly formal o authoritative position), casually on vacations or days out. It performs decently for a Citrus fragrance, lasting five to six hours, on my skin at least.
Overall, a pretty good fragrance on its own merits, but when you take into account its low price, it becomes a real jewel. I give it a solid 8/10.
