The Sugar Beast.
I bought the fragrance "9pm" by Afnan, mainly because of recommendations that described it as a "direct" copy of JPG Ultra Male. My personal opinion of this fragrance is ambivalent.
"9pm" is definitely a love it or hate it fragrance. I personally find it fascinating. As soon as I apply it, an intense sweetness unfolds, initially reminiscent of sweet liqueur and bubblegum, with a slight lavender fruitiness. But this fragrance splits opinions in my environment. My girlfriend can not stand him at all, as she finds him much too intensely sweet.
The strength of this fragrance is impressive. Already after a few sprays, he fills the room for the first few hours downright. When I apply the fragrance in our bathroom, the whole apartment smells like the sweetness of the fragrance for the entire day (to the chagrin of those who can not stand the scent).
The fragrance development I feel is not super complex but interesting. It transforms later in the day into a fragrance reminiscent of vanilla bubble gum, with the potential to bring in many compliments. It seems that this fragrance appeals more to younger people, while most older people don't like it as much. For me, therefore, a fragrance that I would perhaps still wear twice when partying, but avoid in everyday life because I would like to avoid in the professional environment a "dude what is that then" gladly.
All in all, "9pm" by Afnan is an interesting fragrance that is intensely sweet and fruity at the same time. If you like sweet scents and are into strong projection, the fragrance might be something for you. About the similarity to JPG Ultra Male I can personally actually say nothing, because our local perfumeries do not carry the fragrance. So maybe better once look at Douglas whether you like the original, before you buy this fragrance.
