What you give for what you get
Blind buying this is pure suicidal act. One of the strongest smelling stinky ouds that I have ever tried.
But I somehow enjoy it. Something is making me coming for more, time after time. Barnish and stinky kind of oud, animalic, rotten cheese kind of area. But I kind of enjoy it because it's not that typical cheap rose oud that we are already sick of. No sir. Here you have a very refined but also raw kind of oud.
You really have to hate the world to wear this one in public. Not for the average nose.
1 spray will do some victims, trust me. Immortal power. One of the most brutal longevities out there.
This is how a real man would smell like. Extremely manly, dirty, animalic and raw.
Now I think I will wear interlude like nothing compared to this one.
Very strong, very hard to appreciate but yet so beautiful.
I really appreciate it for what it is and I love to have it in my collection.
Oud lovers, try this one.

underdog in the fast lane
i had ordered it blind, as it was a bit reduced. i thought there was not much wrong with the price. in the end, it was another blind buy that disappointed. it's always a thing with ajmal, some fragrances i find fantastic, others more of a turn-off. but this one definitely belongs to the first category.
it arrived, was sprayed on and won. ^^

here you have a beautiful, authentic oud without a lot of overlanding components, no rose, no other spices etc. and i mean that in a positive way. it doesn't need any frills, it stands for itself in its beauty and wants to be recognized as such. it is an oud, as you expect an oud to be if you really like real oud smell.

it has (for me) hardly any animalic, we are more on the dark woody side here, damp wood, but at the same time dry warmth, slightly leathery, slightly smoky, very slightly woody, mossy, when the warm sun shines on fallen rotten trees in the autumn damp forest. very pleasant and absolutely wearable at any time, for me above all a beguiling, balsamic and enveloping feel-good fragrance.

about 4 years ago i had bought 3ml of a pure oud oil with exactly these properties, i loved this cuddly warmth, but unfortunately it was soon used up and i could not buy it again. since then i had bought a few oils, and there were undoubtedly some good ones, but none of them had these properties. all the better that i found (almost) exactly its character here again.

for anyone who likes real oud and also likes to apply pure oud oils, this is a real insider tip, especially with regard to the price-performance ratio. i actually expect such an authentic oud fragrance when i pay 4-6 times the price for high-priced niches. you can treat yourself to it as a blind buy, but only if you expect and want an oud when you buy one. if you immediately perceive "cowshed", "fecal" or "stinky cheese" when you think of a controversial oud, then we would advise against it.

at least i was in love with it and can only hope that this fragrance will not be discontinued so quickly. otherwise it's time to stock up ;)

Old whiskey barrel in a smoky haze
Qaddem is a dry fragrance there is no sweetness in it, compositionally it may resemble somewhere in the distance GGA, this is my personal feeling and my wife says the same, the woody profile here is dry technical but at the same time drenched in smoke and the whole creates an atmosphere of smoked alcohol-soaked wood, slightly similar notes are found in the opening of Amir Two although there is additionally animal . Although there are no controversial notes here the fragrance is not easy and pleasant, although it captivated me, although I have no problem to ditch it alone I rather see it more in mixing with other fragrances.
