Cocoa-vanilla tobacco in honeycomb

I was able to secure the fragrance last year in winter for a reasonable price. Some people have already compared it to Tom Ford's "Tobacco Vanilla", but unfortunately I can't say anything about that, as I have never been able to test it.

The first thing I noticed about the fragrance was that it is very oily in consistency. It really lasts extremely long on my skin and I could even feel it a day (and a shower) later.

The bottle and box are nice to look at and look high quality, the sprayer is also one of the better ones.

When sprayed on, it is initially extremely sweet and smells primarily of honey. In the midst of this sweetness, a noticeable light smoky note together with cocoa develops quite quickly cloves and cinnamon. Only much later in the drydown the honey "tips over" into vanilla. Tobacco...yes, is definitely - although subtly - present, this rounds off the fragrance wonderfully for me.

All in all a really very sweet and slightly turgid scent. In summer it will surely kill the wearer* and the environment. For a wet-cold autumn and winter, however, perfect!

If I had to compare it with another fragrance, I would describe it as a "Pure Havanne" (which I also find great) on steroids and without the cherry.

The Amber Oud collection by Al Haramain. A great series inspired by many bestsellers. You could even say: dupes. The name Amber Oud is of course confusing as the notes are not present in most fragrances. But anyway, here you get great fragrances for a great price.
I have already read that some people find this Amber Oud collection too expensive for "dupes": I think Al Haramain's quality is already premium in the price range and this brand also has higher quality and more expensive fragrances in its range. If you can get a niche dupe at designer prices, you can go for it. At least in this quality. This is a fragrance that many find better than the significantly more expensive original. Around €50 for 60ml is affordable if you want a fragrance like Tobacco Vanilla.
I also own the Ruby Edition (Baccarat Rouge Extrait) and the Gold Edition (Erba Pura) and I can highly recommend these too.

The fragrance or fragrances in this range come in an elegant box that looks very classy and niche. I'm not a fan of it, but it's worth seeing. The bottles don't look cheap either and have a great look.
Even if a slight tobacco vanilla vibe comes to mind at the opening, this start in particular is a little more unique. The clove is of course responsible for this. The first few minutes are almost an overkill of this note, which I don't find disturbing. Nevertheless, it is a note that polarizes and many do not really like. After 20-30 minutes, other notes are added and the fragrance settles down nicely. The clove remains, surrounded by tobacco, cinnamon and vanilla. I find the vanilla not sticky-sweet and also slightly salty. Very pleasant and a high feel-good factor. This sweet-spicy aura is very easy to like and I like it even better than the TF model. The tobacco and dried fruits are also very pleasing. The beautiful drydown is also impressive.
Performance is beastmode here and perhaps even better than its role model. You stand out with this sillage, which is no problem with this pleasant fragrance DNA. The longevity should also easily last for 12 hours.

A good catch for fans of Tobacco Vanilla. I even find this one a little better. The first 10-20 minutes take some getting used to due to a lot of clove, but it gets really really good after that. As with the TF, compliments are bound to follow.

Carnation dream!

First of all: this thing is not a "dupe" of TF TV. Not even 80/90%.
This has a similar scent DNA no question but in my bottling the clove comes out for a long time. Yes, with vanilla and tobacco in the background, but only in the background. Maybe there was a reformulation or I'm unlucky

About the flanker:
Beautifully finished with this bronze/brass front, really attractive but not a creative masterpiece either.

I don't keep the packaging so I don't care but it's still very classy.

Fragrance:
I went to the fragrance with the idea it would be a very similar almost dupe to TV. This is not the case. As I said, similar DNA but the clove is much more potent.
Both at the beginning and in the drydown I find myself in 7th clove heaven! Sweet vanilla clove meets smoky/spicy tobacco but only subtly.
You could say the two shake hands for a moment. Gorgeous!
Disappointing at first but I learned to love the fragrance! Brilliant at this price

The aroma of security

The title may sound corny, but ultimately the fragrance embodies exactly that for me. However, let's start at the beginning.

A few years ago I stumbled as an absolute barbarian in matters of perfume on an Australian company that produces wax perfume, which should smell good for a moderate price - it did, at least from my point of view. So the first perfume I ever bought myself (my partner was always at the helm for that before) was a clone of Tobacco Vanilla - I didn't know that and it couldn't have been more indifferent to me. I liked it mainly because it was different from the perfumes I knew - spicy, exotic, peppery, woody, spicy-aromatic. This fragrance characteristic therefore has a place of honor in my sensibilities, simply because it was the first fragrance I bought because I liked it myself.

Amber Oud Tobacco Edition fills this kind of fragrance character completely - the fragrance is a spicy monster. Unbridled act clove and pepper as the main actors in the opening, assisted by woods and resins in the background. A mangy, frivolously inviting tobacco wanders in between. The latter is never smoky, but rather delicious, sweet, cinnamony, vaguely nutty. Fleeting vanilla and an isolated shy cocoa bean round out the aromatic creation and save it from complete exotic-erotic overboard.

Restraint is written here small or completely weggetipp-ext. This massive aura can easily tarnish, the dosage must be tuned with sensitivity depending on the situation. Less is always more here. This fragrance wants to be discovered, sniffed out in small bites, leisurely felt - if it comes in too large waves can lead to cognitive overload in the environment.

Properly dosed, the fragrance carries away into warm spheres, embraces like a cuddly blanket, offers generous security even under the most adverse circumstances. This is far more competence than I can attribute to many other fragrances, and therefore I like him especially.

Roast pork with red cabbage and potatoes

Take: 500 g of pork, onions, 1 head of red cabbage, 300 g of floury potatoes.

Friends, so it happened to me with the Amber Oud Tobacco. Everything nice, at the beginning brash cinnamony opening, then fine tonka vanilla with a hint of incense, all carried by the sweet-spicy tobacco. Delicious! Lasts easily a 12; gigantic! BUT: this clove bangs incessantly. You have to really concentrate to be able to briefly focus on the well done blend behind it. It's such a shame. Why does one do that? If only one instrument in an orchestra is out of tune, you can hear it all the time, no matter how harmoniously everyone else plays. Thus, unfortunately, TF Tobacco Vanilla in my opinion not equal, because the harmony is right. Nevertheless, in principle not bad, especially just for lovers of cloves in winter mood.
