Low price does not always limit creativity and performance !
A pleasant, fresh floral bouquet is the opening for this just-over-five-dollars-for-the-35ml-bottle EDP from the house of Al Rehab. Note that this Arabian product does contain alcohol.

The flowers quickly recede somewhat to allow a musky, woody flavour to permeate, with a lingering finish that is rather surprisingly sweet and complex for such a low-priced fragrance. You can detect the vanilla, but the honey is extremely discreet, so clever.

Balkis delivers a surprising quality package: you could almost call it a sleeper!

Heavy incense to warm floral
Balkis opens as a very strong, heavy, incense with some woody notes, the oud probably. At 2 hours on me it has become a sweet, warm amber floral that slowly fades out.. I cant identify the actual flowers involved but it seems similiar to poeme at this point to me.

Sillage was huge for first hour or more fading to a skin scent at 3 hours. Lasted over 5 hours.

-- just adding that I have the roll on oil version

Another heavy one
Heavy floral. I cant smell any particular note.

Anyway, that's heavy and sweet, a different take on western florals.

For me is unisex, but smells better on a woman. Worth it.

Something light ... no big statement
This is a spicy and friendly perfume. I don't notice any difference on the skin whether I use the roll-on or a spritz of the Eau de Parfum. Immediately, a camphorous smell came to my mind and that was the weird and beautiful smell of Nubian Heritage Honey & Blackseed Lotion. That thick lotion is so potent that it could be used as a solid perfume.
Almost the same pungent, spicy, round ambery scent radiates from the roll-on perfume oil and the alcohol diluted Eau de Parfum.

Do I like it ? Yes, I like it well enough. It does not have the quality of a well-constructed niche fragrance but there is nothing wrong with it either. It hangs around you like a soft amber cloud - not offensive to my nose nor to anybody else's. A go-to perfume, especially in the Summer, just something light to put on.
Something light to spray into your drawer, freshen the room with or wear it when you have nothing much to do and don't aim to make a great fragrance statement.
