Set the table, it's time for pie
This one came to me as an impulse bay. I was actually looking for something fresh to wear for a holiday in the south and ended up with the most perfect fall pie. Usually gourmands really aren't my cup of tea, but this one ...
The first sniff was very special. The scent is complex and transports you immediately to a cozy place. The saleswoman described it as cherries, for me it was a freshly baked plum pie - if you look up the notes it turns out to be a mixture of cinnamon, rhubarb and almonds.
Just picture a stormy and gray afternoon in October, your mum just finished baking a pie and opened the oven - that's the smell of Imperial Peacock.
You can also smell the dark notes of the storm, so it's quite a complex creation. To me the smell is unisex. The drydown loses a bit of the scent's complexity and reminds me of a not so sweet version of Angels' Share.
For the price point, sillage is rather average. It is a compliment getter though.
The packaging is very opulent, just the cap of the flacon feels a bit tacky to me. Otherwise you definitely get your money's worth here.
Anyways, the perfect scent to sit back and relax, drink a cup of tea and watch the dark clouds pass by.
