Delina, Melina, Selina ...
... mee, mee, moo and who are you?
Fragrance:
The fragrance notes irritate me, because the Delina DNA is unmistakable! The top note starts with acidity and some tartness. Smells very strongly of bergamot to me, which is not listed. I personally don't smell the typical Delina rhubarb, which makes "Bosphorus Pearl" less scratchy for my nose. Depending on whether you like the original rhubarb or not, this can be an advantage or disadvantage. Despite everything, the fragrance is not lacking in effervescence and a slight tartness. In addition to the fruity-fresh notes, there are also lots of beautiful flowers. At the start, I get a very slightly green note, like that of freshly cut flower stems - could be lily of the valley. Above all, however, the fragrance smells of rose. A pink rose in full bloom. It definitely steals the show from all the other flowers in this bouquet. After 20 minutes, I can hardly smell any difference to Delina. Fragrance notes such as jasmine tea, ylang-ylang and amber are (unfortunately) not perceptible to my nose. I would have found it exciting! All in all, a sour-fresh rose fragrance with a certain tartness. Delina's beautiful twin sister. I can't complain about the quality of the fragrance. Longevity and silage seem fine on first testing. Unfortunately, I missed the comparison to Delina a little. However, I can say that the in-house fragrance "Neva Winged Lions" (also a fresh floral fragrance) was longer-lasting on my somewhat difficult skin than this one.
When? Where? Who?
Delina is a great signature fragrance, the fresh-floral kind and for me the epitome of femininity. It can be worn anywhere and at any time, even if I personally find it particularly beautiful in spring. It's exactly the same with "Bosphorus Pearl", because the sisters are so similar.
Conclusion:
Bosphorus Pearl is a really beautiful, high-quality fragrance. But why not just the original? I can think of a few reasons: Delina is too scratchy, the rhubarb is distracting, you hope the extrait will last longer or you don't fancy PdM's pink bottle. Personally, I would have liked more of my own twist!
