Femme fatale
... or rather a would-be cryptie?

Vamp! Sounds black, dangerous, bloodthirsty.
Vamp could also be the certain femme fatale, black widow, seductress and man-killing sexy woman.
Well, the fragrance doesn't really match either of the two associations, even if I would wish for it.
Vamp is dark, smoky-sweet. Smells kind of dull. Nothing bright or intoxicating. I can only combine opium and labdanum with the original opium of YSL, but otherwise I'd rather call it a sweet something here. Tonka bean slaps Vamp a little into the soft and creamy and balsam then forces Vamp completely to the ground.
With a leather whip, on which fluffy pink pom-poms hang, you pull a little over Vamp to bring some movement into it. But Vamp only shrugs a little and stays there until you count to 10. Vamp grabs your skin and literally crawls in. Musk only to guess and would not have noticed either, one would have left it out completely.
Well, Vamp's out of here. What sounded threatening and sexy was rather black soot, which was blown away with a wind breeze.
You can wear it, no question. It just smells unspectacular to my nose. But who smells a little light-dark and smoky-sweet
would like, the vamp certainly likes.
Many thanks to Floyd

1920's Jazz Club...
To me this one reminds me a lot of either Shalimar by Guerlain or Habanita by Molinard. There is no mistaking that this is a perfume inspired by those two.

I get notes of a bitter citrus, but also orris root and a hint of tobacco. Labdanum and tonka also feature heavily. There is almost a leathery quality here which I like very much. I think the note of "Opium" here is a fantasy note but it is intriguing to smell. Very nice.

I would highly recommend this one from Alkemia perfumes because it smells like vintage Habanita or Shalimar parfum. Instead of paying a lot of money to get those two, or even something similar (like Musc Ravageur) I think this one is the closest you'll get to those three. A bittersweet, leathery oriental. Definitely one to have if you like that old, vintage style.
