The only "feminine" thing about you is the bottle / Powerhouse / The spicy - woody smokiness! / Deserves more attention!
Hello everyone,
today I would like to talk about the Epic 56.
For weeks and months, I kept getting a message that I should definitely test the Epic 56 and since the reviews of the Reflection 45 (https://www.parfumo.de/Parfums/Amouage/reflection-45/rezensionen/230487) and the current Jubilation 40 (https://www.parfumo.de/Parfums/Amouage/jubilation-40/rezensionen/299927) were very well received, I ordered a bottling a few weeks ago and tested it several times (!) and I can tell you this much..., it surprised me several times!
Before I come to the fragrance itself, I would like to say something about the packaging, bottle and sprayer.
Briefly and concisely about the packaging - typically Amouage classy, chic, high quality.
About the bottle the same as before ;) , timeless, perfect and anything other than a 10/10 will be difficult.
About the sprayer, I have already said it in certain reviews of Amouage before, on the one hand I am certainly not a FAN of the spray head, in the sense of the structure of it, the possible dosage and the mMn very centric orientation / hardness of the content that arrives quasi ;). Funny wording I know, but when I see Chanel and Dior, for example..., I wonder why such a great house as Amouage can't manage this.
About the fragrance:
I know the Epic Man and also the version for women, the Epic Woman Eau de Parfum and yes, both have their certain charm, but they are not "daily" fragrances.
The first thing that surprised me was the CHOICE of bottle. Because it is categorized as a feminine fragrance and has also been given a feminine Amouage bottle - and the resolution = in my opinion this is a big mistake on the part of Amouage (marketing) purely in terms of sales. If this is 100% a feminine fragrance, then I'll quit the hobby immediately!
At the end of the day, all fragrances, whether drugstore, designer or niche fragrances are all unisex and yes those have a noticeable bias and so does he, but feminine it most certainly is not.
The fragrance is spicy, woody, oriental mainly, but there are a few really present notes, such as the cumin, the incense, the sandalwood, something resinous in the drydown and in my perception the cinnamon is also there (only in the background = fortunately).
The fragrance is ultra-fine, ingenious and high-quality and as you would expect from Amouage, especially with the extraits (with numbers).
The performance:
If we're talking purely about longevity, then we're easily talking about 20 hours and much more, including multiple showers and the like, with the blatant concentration it was to be expected! It's the same with the sillage, which is reduced and not so screaming, but more in the 2m range, but then extremely dense and heavy = like a wall that accompanies you and this for a very long time!
Let me put it this way, you can see from my collection that I own a few fragrances of the house and... to be honest, I wouldn't be too surprised if one of the (remaining) bottles moved into my home at some point, because it has already won me over!
But why a leftover bottle?
The fragrance is extremely potent and acts like a WALL around you and it is one of those fragrances that you really feel you will never empty, you need the right mood and/or the right occasion! In my opinion, 20ml to 30ml is enough for YEARS ;) so a leftover bottle and I'll be honest, your wallet will thank you for it.
It is a UNISEX fragrance, it goes for men as well as women, although I see a bias towards the male camp (personal opinion).
Very few (unfortunately) see its true potential!
If I really wasn't convinced, I wouldn't recommend it to you!

Now on the subject of luxury:
As you can see in my profile, among other things, I have really smelled many fragrances and there are fragrances where you smell a certain (partly) strong synthetic and you notice quite quickly that some fragrance houses go for quantity rather than quality and there are some where you just realize "oh come on, let's put more + better in" and you can smell this at the end of the day.
Very briefly on the subject of OVP, bottle, sprayer:
I'll make it short, I give it a 10 out of 10 in each category and I know very well that tastes are very different. So if you honestly rate this with a 7 or less... - PUH. Beautiful and very valuable lid, beautiful timeless flacon design etc. .... so I find it very difficult to rate it differently and I'm not saying this because I like a brand or not!
Now a quick word on the subject of my opinion:
I am not sponsored, influenced by anyone, receive money or anything else. I approach the subject of parfumo as I am, honestly, everything else is not mine. My real personal opinion is worth a lot to me and maybe I hope ;) that you notice that. If I don't like something, e.g. OVP, bottle, sprayer or H/S, then I communicate this!
