Here I am now, sitting on my balcony wrapped in a velvet bathrobe, pondering the next steps to take to make the foot people obedient.
Surrounded by a magical aura that almost scares me myself...
But I am the King of France, fear is a novelty to me.
In my flower garden I have grown the most beautiful roses, but with the most dangerous thorns. And now I ask myself; can the red of a rose be so intense and terrifying or is it due to the blood of my arch-enemies, who tried to get their hands on my precious naked tare beforehand and tore their skin open miserably in the process?

The Rose Incense from Amouage is something very special.
Special can be combined with many adjectives - everyone should take a sniff and let it sink in.
For me, this is one of the most beguiling rose fragrances I have ever smelled and I am not normally a fan of too much rosé.
I think it's great, but I have to enjoy it with caution, definitely not a fragrance for the office - unless you're the CEO.

Dichtomy and harmony

for me, Opus XII - Rose Incense is one of the best Amouage releases of recent years. A fragrance of contrasts: mystical and calming, dark and light at the same time.

It starts with a juicy rose, soft in character and intense at the same time. Not the way I imagine rose in (Arabic) fragrances. This rose is realistic and tangible, close at hand. Green, herbal and natural. Simply bombingly good: otherwise I don't like rose in fragrances very much. The rose water fades slowly, but only disappears after many hours. It leaves the foreground to a fantastic incense note. The incense is bright and unburnt. Like the unburnt and fresh resin, complemented by sweet myrrh, vanilla and elemi. The depth of Opus XII - Rose Incense is impressive, creating an impression of mysticism and complexity. At the same time, all the ingredients have a high-quality effect and are calming and meditative in themselves.

Compliments? Not a single one. The performance is really great, the longevity and radiance are worthy of Amouage. However, everyone who received Opus XII - Rose Incense for testing was simply thrilled. This Amouage does not offend, is very pleasing and harmonious without being boring. Really rare for me: Truly unisex without being unsexy. A fragrance to go out in, to wear for yourself or to please others.

Rose, Incense, Spices, and Resins: A Rich Middle-Eastern Scent Experience

As a man, I have a special fondness for perfumes that bring out the essence of roses, whether they're Bulgarian, Turkish, Damask, or Centifolia varieties. This particular scent is a perfect example of my taste. It's an amazing find for my collection, with a strong, clear rose scent that's expertly mixed with plenty of Middle-Eastern incense, various spices, and rich resins. What's really impressive is how long it lasts – it stays with me all day, and the way it settles is just fantastic. True to Amouage's high standards, this perfume is made with only the best raw materials. I just wish they had included a hint of animalic notes to it. I'd give it a 9 out of 10.
