Gotta Be Gorgeous
Just reading the 29 notes and knowing this is a natural perfumer made me think--this has GOT to be gorgeous and on first whiff it is! So many beautifully-blended smells that I adore waft up that it takes some orientation to describe them. Like the amazing Slumberhouse perfumes, this is an olfactory feast. Put Elemi in garbage and it smells good to me, much less in the midst of such odorous charms. I smell the sweet cardoman and smoky Frankincense, the orange blossom and the rose, the tobacco lightly added, the Cedar. But my nose, impatient with this dissecting, soon rebels and closes my eyes to cut off all inputs except this heavenly smell. Greedily it sniffs my arm, trying to get closer as if my flesh were its lover and nothing should be in the way. What a fragrance! What a perfumer! Already to me Annette Neuffer is becoming one of the new and great niche perfumers who are rescuing our noses from the aromachemical purgatory to which the EU would assign us. Thank you, thank you! Please continue, madam. Insistently my nose returns to its communion with my arm to revel in this hypnotically resinous marvel of a perfume. Absolutely an FB must-have. Oh, my aching purse! "Shush, now," purrs my nose.
