Softly enveloping rum-vanilla scent
Vanilla notes sometimes make a perfume suffocating.

However Tenue de Soirée has an airy and dry quality, with just the right amount of powder.

The opening is a sharp alcoholic smell at first (rum), but that is very soon replaced by jammy black forest fruit and a small hint of bergamot, patchouli and iris.

The patchouli, caramel and musk gain in strength as time passes, but it never becomes overly sweet or cloying. 4 hours later, it is still present as a skin scent, at this point it's mostly caramel, slightly powdery iris and rose. The projection is similar - definitely noticeable but never too heavy.

It's a pleasantly warm and cosy scent.

In sum: A gourmand, a nice one with lovely rum, caramel and vanilla, maybe best worn during the colder season.

The sugar note was misappropriated
I am sitting among all the moving boxes that are scattered all over the apartment and am annoyed that I have not written a single comment for weeks. In 2 weeks we move into a new apartment, there is a lot to be done. Ellaborated to-do lists or not, whoever can shop on Ebay (and I could only do that too well lately) can also write a comment, my inner voice reproaches me. So I reach for one of the untested tubes, which have not yet been packed in moving boxes. Tenue de Soirée, ah this is a relatively new Goutal scent, which is contained in these pretty Puschel bottles, from which I recently read a commentary by our highly esteemed cat friend and where the scent came off quite well (see below). But I want to be unbiased and spray on it:

Boah sweet, fruity, milky and then nail polish cleaner? I put my arm confusedly aside, rework the first heel and sniff again, with one eye on the pyramid lens. Red fruit, then. Phew, I often confuse red fruit with berries. Strawberries, currants and raspberries are also red fruits, but grapes, cherries and plums are the same. The red fruit juice of Hohes C occurs to me, I bet that its base, like that of many fruity foods are apples. They could be red, too. To be honest, I'm always a little sobered when the fragrances in the perfumes are as unspecified as fruits, flowers and spices, it can smell like anything. But well, I admit it, it's fruity, maybe red, too
I continue reading Iris, yes I can confirm that. I smell Iris, an extremely sweet, powdery lipstick iris. Not unpleasant, but again I ask myself, why do so many of the newer fragrances have to be so sweet? It's like our food, there's tons of sugar everywhere. Is that really necessary? Probably rather a topic for a blog: the hyperglycemia of society, measured by the consumer goods of daily use (I'd rather not talk about demand in perfume ;) ).

Patchouli is also listed: Well, after the 20 minutes of spraying on, I can't (yet) smell any of it, even if I suspect a darker note far behind all the qietschsweet, undefined fruits and the iris. Still she hides well or is he the culprit conjuring up these associations with nail polish removing solvent?
Fortunately, this acetone-like note disappears in the course of time, but not much more happens. Too bad about the given patch, which I had been looking forward to. And also the smell leaves me a little disappointed back.

Was I too mean today? After all, I could criticize the supernatural sweetness not only for this fragrance, of course, but when vanilla, tonka, sugar, caramel, praline appear in the fragrance pyramid, just the classic gourmand notes, it is somehow clear to me and I find it justified that the fragrance is quite sweet. But do irises and fruits really have to be depicted in such a sweet way? It seems as if one builds a quite passable scent out of exactly these building blocks and pours sugar over everything so that it just sticks and crunches.

Gourmand and sugar fans are welcome to try it out, I pass here and brush my teeth one minute longer tonight as a precaution.

Powder your nose quickly (why always only your nose??) and look elegant!
Hello you fragrance lovers and of course also - lovers. It's nice that you're looking back at me here and reading my new Kommi (hopefully nobody will force you?? :D). Today it's about Annick Goutal's "Tenue de Soirée", which means evening dress and therefore sounds somehow sexy. And also elegant, as evening dresses can be, at least if you don't get carried away in the wardrobe like an extravagant celebrity and then appear in the media the next day as a mockery :D

It seems that this fragrance belongs to Annick Goutal's more exclusive range, as it does not come in the typical, grooved and usually yellowish bottle. But that doesn't mean much, because there are good and bad fragrances in all categories.

Be that as it may, I hope for an elegant fragrance, because I combine elegance with evening dress and well, let's see how the fragrance smells!

The fragrance:
The fragrance is quite powdery right at the beginning and smells of iris and light, sweet fruits. The sweet mixed with the iris looks pretty make-up and therefore already looks sexy. In addition, the top note smells like a feminine version of the great Dior men's fragrance "Dior Homme".
It stays that way for a short while, then the indicated patchouli becomes a little more smelly. And although I don't like Patchouli as extreme as I did back then, I think that it goes well with the powdery and sweet notes here, as it also leaves a more mature and elegant impression than just being sweet.
Later, the sweetness is slightly lower, the patchouli slightly stronger, so that the scent is not too earthy and not too sweet, but just well balanced. And that's how it stays until the end.

The Sillage and the shelf life:
The Sillage is good, you can smell it pleasantly without having to get too close to others. The shelf life is also good with over eight hours.

The bottle:
As this fragrance belongs to Annick Goutal's more exclusive range of fragrances, it does not appear in the typical flacons known from Annick Goutal. This one is comparatively simpler, because it is just cylindrical, but shows a nice color gradient from clear to violet. At the neck hangs a golden chain, which ends with the logo of the brand, in addition you can see a fluffy, purple pump ball, which looks quite cuddly soft :)
All in all a beautiful bottle.

Sooo, although this fragrance does not offer many fragrances, I find it nevertheless very successful and beautiful. But fragrances don't have to be very complex to be good perfumes, do they? In addition, this fragrance manages not only to be beautiful, but also sexy and elegant despite the few scents. A fragrance, which in my opinion is totally suitable for the name and also really good for going out or for the evening. And that's for everyone, um... every woman! :))

Hm, I wrote that the fragrance even came across as a female version of Dior Homme. Is it a coincidence that this fragrance here bears the name "evening dress" and Dior Homme from Flakondesign is supposed to symbolize a suit, which can also be worn on evening occasions? Hm...

Anyway, I think this scent is worth testing, as long as you don't get a headache from powdery scents, that should happen! I think others might like the scent and yes,... so I said yes, test it, you might like it!

I'm going to quit for today and we'll probably "see" each other again soon :D
Have a nice evening and see you soon :)

Powdery on top with a mix of iris and praline that feels like blackcurrant jam. Perhaps a little synthetic but ticks a "silly and fun" box.
