Boadicea the Victorious Blue Sapphire for under €15? Take my money!
Why is nobody talking about this perfume?
In Parfumo only 17 people own this wonderful fragrance.
That definitely needs to change!
I'm surprised how few people own this one.
But now to the fragrance :
The fragrance starts aquatic-fresh but at the same time very tart and for me at least citrusy, I would have guessed bergamot.
I wouldn't have guessed cherry and lychee.
To my nose, it's more of a very tart bergamot.
But it could also be a very dark cherry and a very light lychee note that create this mix of tart and fruity, fresh notes.
A very interesting combination that I really like.
In the DD I perceive very minimal lavender, it becomes more woody without the fragrance drifting too much into the woody.
The drydown is also dominated by the fruity notes, which continue to be aquatic, fruity, tart, fresh and sweet.
The lavender gives the fragrance a clean vibe, making it ideal for summer.
In the heat, of course, you always want to smell clean and that's where Desert Sultan... does a good job.
What is important to mention is that everyone will probably perceive it differently, but for me this tart almost slightly smoky smell is really very interesting, I love it.
And I probably think I smell bergamot when I smell it because you're used to aquatic fragrances somehow always containing bergamot.
You wouldn't expect cherry and lychee.
But that sets the fragrance apart from all the freshies I know.
But the fragrance is not that fresh either.
As I said, it has a sweetness that is very pleasant.
The fragrance lasted 9 hours on my skin.
I applied it before going to bed so that I wouldn't accidentally wash it off.
After 9 hours, however, it was so faint that I almost had to search for it with my nose.
Very strong radiance in the first hour.
Until the second hour, he still does his job excellently.
After that he is still there somewhere, but of course not as strong as in the first two hours.
Nevertheless, he convinces with a great performance.
Incidentally, the perfume is supposed to be a dupe for Blue Sapphire Parfum.
Not a 1:1 dupe, but definitely close, I've been told.
Blue Sapphire is a niche fragrance and with Ard Al Zaafaran, despite the slight synthetics, you can tell that you're getting a fragrance that simply smells unique compared to all the designers and for a small price.
The fragrance is currently available for €14.99.
The fragrance is unbeatable for the price.
I read here that the fragrance is supposed to be similar to Hawas, so I bought a bottle back then.
As a little Hawas fan, I was naturally intrigued.
But if you're hoping for an alternative, I have to disappoint you.
It is actually slightly reminiscent of Hawas without smelling like Hawas.
This is probably because both are fruity, sweet, fresh and slightly clubby.
However, the Ard Al Zaafaran is more mature due to the tart note and not as youthful as the Rasasi.
But both quite different, as I said.
I can only recommend the fragrance.
A mass pleaser, at a small price, which smells quite unique and at the same time knows how to convince with a strong performance, what more could you want?
