Areej Le Doré

The brand Areej Le Doré was founded in 2017 by the distiller Ivan Inkin, called Russian Adam, in Thailand. Today, the company is based in Indonesia.

Areej Le Doré is a fragrance house specialising in the artisanal production of natural oud and sandalwood oils. These fragrance oils are considered some of the most prized aromatics in haute perfumery.

Over the course of many years, Russian Adam has distilled numerous different types of high quality, pure agarwood oils. He has worked extensively to source, crush, purify and cook agarwood. This laborious process results in the extraction of the precious and rare oil known as oud.

Natural agarwood that is harvested in the traditional way and distilled into oud oil using ancient techniques is considered one of the most complex fragrances around. Prices of several thousand dollars per kilogram are nothing unusual, as the corresponding qualities are an extremely scarce natural product.

A special feature of Areej Le Doré is that once their perfumes are sold out, they cannot usually be made again due to the irretrievability of some of the rare raw materials used in them. This is also the reason why the brand often only launches comparatively small editions of certain perfumes or attars.

Areej Le Doré perfumes and attars often contain oud, sandalwood, oakmoss, jasmine, but also rose. Deer musk, civet, castoreum, amber and other animalic fragrances are also used in some fragrances.

In collaboration with Sultan Pasha, the perfume Civet de Nuit was created in 2022 and released under the label Areej Le Doré.

Together with Dmitry Bortnikoff, Russian Adam also distributes the Feel Oud brand.
