Something Really SPECIAL - But not for everyone
Triumph of Bacchus is one of those very special fragrances. Let's say you hypothetically sampled 100 different fragrances, then I would bet that you would get stuck with Triumph of Bacchus. At least that's how it is for me whenever I invite guests. EVERYONE stops and says something (usually positive). Simply a fragrance that stands out from the crowd.

The red color of the liquid already gives us a first impression. I come from the Moselle and here we grow vineyard peaches - the winegrowers make vineyard peach liqueur from them. That's roughly what the Triumph of Bacchus smells like. Very fruity and boozy, sweet and "loud". Especially when the perfume is freshly sprayed on, it is very strong and takes off at full power. It stays like this for quite a while until it becomes calmer after what feels like 2 hours and other, heavier notes such as tobacco. Overall, an absolutely great fragrance experience, which I consider more for leisure use - dates, clubbing etc. The fragrance is described here as unisex, but I don't see it on a woman at all.

Well my friends, now the question of all questions: Should you run out and get it right away? No man, I think that as good as Triumph of Bacchus is, it's not a perfume for everyone. It's too sweet, too fruity, too alcoholic and too loud for that. So what to do? My tip: go to your nearest Douglas / Müller and check out the Tom Ford Lost Cherry. The Lost Cherry is of course different but goes in a similar direction - fruity, sweet, loud etc. If you could imagine wearing the Lost Cherry but are looking for something more masculine with an alcoholic note, then you should try the Triumph of Bacchus.

Modest alcoholic eats peach
Modest ex-alcoholic reaches back for the glass and leaves the tobacco in exchange.
Enveloped in the sweetness of saffron, he enjoys a cherry-peach liqueur.

Yes, that's exactly what I see when I spray the fragrance on.
The TOB starts with an extremely nice zero synthetic peach note that lingers throughout the fragrance. However, I have to say that the peach in combination with the apple is more reminiscent of ripe cherries. The apple-peach and saffron fusion gives the fragrance a pleasant sweetness. From behind, a little rum is hinted at and accompanies the top note, but remains discreetly in the background. Unfortunately, I hardly get anything from the tobacco, which disappointed me a little.
After a while, the base note comes in, which simply rounds off the fragrance and makes it extremely soft and pleasant.

The performance is good but not outstanding. You shouldn't expect a beast here, as Argos claims in the blurb on the box. Nevertheless, the fragrance lingers very nicely in the air for the first 2-3 hours.
In terms of longevity, the fragrance lasts well (about 8 hours on me), although it has to be said that one spray is comparable to a shower.

While I'm on the subject of the bottle, I have to say that it's exactly to my taste. The TOB bottle shares first place
Place with The House of Oud bottles.

To sum up, TOB is a VERY good winter fragrance that will go down well with everyone.

Triumph all along the line
As the god of wine, intoxication and ecstasy, the Triumph of Bacchus lives up to its analogy.
Very voluminous at the start. Bacchus overwhelms me with an ecstatic rush of opulent sweetness and fruitiness. I hear ripe dark fruit, plum, cherry and of course peach. This impression is underpinned by dark alcohol - I think of wine and rum, which give the composition a slight spiciness and the fragrance a certain weight. The nose is busy for a long time - having fun sorting through the complex impressions The attack lasts relatively long, the fruit dries slowly and occasionally releases its freshness. Their sweetness and intense aroma linger on the skin. There is also saffron - a note that I personally find very pleasant. In combination with the rising tonka bean and the wonderfully dosed vanilla, Bacchus leaves behind a pleasantly warm cloud of satisfaction.

Peach bomb, tonka bean & tobacco
A banging peach opening, on soft tonka bean and vetiver on a tobacco-sandalwood base.

These are the main characters of Triumph of Bacchus by Argos. A fragrance for special occasions, dates, etc. that makes a statement.

The top note starts with a peach bomb, which is defused over time, the green apple is also slightly perceptible with a fine nose, the rum and saffron round off the top note.

The heart note is very tart thanks to the vetiver and patchouli, the tonka bean and jasmine are subtle.

The base features sweet tobacco, soft musk, vanilla and spicy sandalwood.
The performance of the fragrance:
Fragrance: 10/10
Sillage: 8/10, I personally find it good, but not beast fashion
Longevity: 8/10 lasts about 8-12 hours
Flacon 10/10 only the extrait version is even more beautiful
P/L: 7/10

If you like the PDM Carlisle, Mancera Red Tobacco & CH Mystery Tobacco, you get the best of all three here

If you have the opportunity, you should definitely test the fragrance before buying.

All in all, a wonderful fragrance with a great character.

Triumph Of Peach
Of course ,
Peach is included and present as you can see from the title.

This fragrance is a masterpiece and presents the peach notes in the fragrance in its own special way.
It is incredibly delicious with the apple and rum together.

But this is all just the beginning.

Later comes another sweet, probably the vanilla.

Strangely enough, it's also a fragrance that I can't perceive so strongly myself when I apply it, but it's actually very strong. Maybe that's because of my nose.

Test it and see for yourself.
It's just a great fragrance, I don't think you can quite put it into words.
Have fun

Boozy tobacco that opens with apple, peach, saffron and patchouli. The drydown is a sweet amber/vanilla and a creamy sandalwood. Alluring.

A softer version of Mancera Red Tobacco. Very similar so if you like RT but it's too strong for you then this one is a good option.

Fruity note is too strong for me in this; giving me cherry cough syrup vibes. Might just be my skin, but definitely not for me.

Reminds me a lot of Herod, but in a more fruity way. Definitely get the peach and apple, and the sweet vanilla amber tobacco at the base.

Initially boozy and spicy fruity-sweet, this warm and dusty, oriental spicy-earthy Fall fragrance, settles to a sweet musky-woody base.
