Between yes, no and maybe
If I hadn't read here that this fragrance is supposed to be similar to Baccarat Rouge, I would never have tested the scent! The girl (Ariana Grande) doesn't tell me much, and the bottle, oops, well, I'm not the target group. But since I have a sample of Baccarat Rouge here, I'm curious. So I tested Cloud on the road, did some work in between and wondered what smelled so great there. On the way back he had to say ;)

Cloud is a two-in-one fragrance. In the aura I can actually see a certain similarity to Baccarat Rouge. When you spray like this, go out and come back in, there's actually a fragrance wafting in that direction. I really like that!

But I can also understand all those who say that Cloud bears absolutely no resemblance to Baccarat Rouge. If you sniff directly at the sprayed area, even after two or more hours, you won't notice anything at all about Baccarat Rouge. I smell a warm, fluffy, creamy scent with a very subtle coconut note, and the whole thing is very pleasant, unobtrusive and not at all artificial, as I actually expected or feared.

So are they similar? Yes. No. Or maybe they are. A little bit
But what I can say with certainty is that I am more than pleasantly surprised by this scent. Cloud doesn't smell synthetic to me at all, but rather round, warm and very pleasant, with a sweetness that is not overwhelming or sticky - and with hints of Baccarat Rouge.

Still, I wouldn't say that Cloud is a scented twin. Anyone who wants to buy Cloud as a cheap substitute for Baccarat Rouge will probably be disappointed. But if you like the direction, with Cloud you will definitely get a nice and affordable fragrance!

By the way, you can remove the cloud from the bottle. That doesn't look quite like children's perfume in the bathroom anymore ;)

When the residence rises
Are the schools closing again now because residency is going up?.......says my daughter. Huahuahua..........the residence. So if it goes up, Holland is in trouble.......or was it Poland? I explain that she means incidence, she is so droll sometimes. My daughter loves Cloud. When I go to the bathroom after her in the morning, it smells like Cloud, not always, but often. Cloud is really popular and rightly so. Yes it's cute, but young girls are ideally cute too. I like smelling that on her.

If you smell Cloud from afar, yes, then smells also like Baccarat Rouge. But if you approach the scented person, then you smells, it smells nice creamy sweet and coconut. At the start I also smell pear, but that's it. You don't always need a huge scent story. And I'm glad that the pubescent scented, the delicious baby smell is gone.

Cloudy, with the prospect of blessing
* A review in two parts
*

Part 1 - The cloud

Scent:

Ariane Grande - Cloud is a sweet, somehow also slightly fresh and moderately heavy fragrance that is not too complex, but exceedingly pleasing. Sweet, but not sultry. I barely smell coconut, and what I do smell of it, I tend to sniff out in the second half of the scent. The little cloud is often described as cotton candy in a bottle, which is not wrong, but does not do the fragrance justice in its entirety. A girl scent, for real men too sweet one reads from many... nonsense. Please sit down in the next DeLorean and make your way into the 21st century. Cloud is absolutely unisex, man must of course be sure of his sexuality and self-esteem to wear such fragrances.

Score: 8/10

Features:

Durability and sillage are okay, not only in view of the low price. The scent progression is manageable, actually, the fragrance is only increasingly sweet, until it then comes to rest slightly woody-warm on the skin. Nothing exciting, but God knows not bad.

Score: 7/10

Other:

The presentation is a horror. The brightly colored packaging stages the namesake, which is frankly completely unknown to me, and seems loud and cheap. The bottle itself is a monstrum horrendum, and hard to surpass in tastelessness.

Score: 2/10

Conclusion:

Very pleasing fragrance water, which one would not expect in the repulsive packaging so. The fragrance is designed primarily certainly for young and young-at-heart ladies, but in essence quite unisex. Sweet, not exuberantly heavy and exceedingly nice and pleasant to wear as well as to smell on others.

Buy!
Part 2 - Blessing or rain?

Of course, you have to comment on the elephant in the room when writing about Cloud: Is this fragrance a Baccarat Rouge clone? Yes. I don't know who on God's green earth would seriously deny its proximity to Kurkdjian's masterpiece. Especially on platforms like this one, please, don't tell me you have to look at the fragrance for its own sake. Who would talk about this thing if there wasn't this other fragrance, many times more expensive? No one. So please leave this bigoted fuss.

A whole other question is whether Cloud is a "good" clone... and that question is not quite so easy to answer. Let me put it this way, if one loves mostly the sweet, lovely and candy-like elements of BR 540, then absolutely, yes. If you prefer more the slightly medicinal, subtly spicy element and molecular lightness, then rather not. Hey, how many of you keep typing in comments about Baccarat Rouge that you don't like that very "dentist smell" about Monsieur Kurkdjian's concoction? Good news, buy this one. Cloud is Baccarat Rouge EdP without said notes, plus some coconut syrup. Voilà.

Oh, and of course, as always, there are those who want to tell us that their favorite in particular is a 99.99999999% similar copy of BR 540... no, it's not. If someone wants Baccarat Rouge, in all details, notes and concerns, then he / she / div but please buy the original right away, instead of wasting so much money with the search for the holy grail of shameless plagiarism, that it would have been enough for a real bottle Kurkdjian loose.

Conclusion 2:

Is Ariana Grande - Cloud a near-baccarat rouge?

It is. As such, does it come close to the original? Never in a lifetime. And that's just as well. For both fragrances and their lovers. For all those who can not afford or do not want the original (me the handle in the wallet also hurts every time I buy Kurkdjians), a less medicinal, sweeter and less complex version looking for and / or can live with a (well made) imitation, the cloud but an absolute bank and worth the price all the time. Clear buy recommendation!

Thank you.

Candy?
So I am amazed about the so far so never awarded points concerning the durability. I smell an entire working day after him. Even now. And I'm almost in bed!!

But first to the fragrance: I change fragrances almost as often as underpants. Only very few are worn regularly. But also here: on the seventh day you always have to make a change. I recently went to a perfumery with a new idea. The idea (I'm a stubborn late bloomer) was Candy from Prada. I had already tested this fragrance years ago. He hadn't knocked me over and yet I suddenly felt like sweets. While testing some novelties 'Cloud' fell into my stylus. Cloud? So if you ask me, who has switched names, because Cloud smells to me like I imagine Candy in the ideal case: sweet and creamy and incredibly good. Coconut I'm actually barely taking. I clearly smell caramel, vanilla and nothing else.

Prada's fragrance is often criticized for its durability. Cloud has them. And the Sillage. Admittedly, I find it somewhat difficult to see myself in the target group's drawer, but my colleagues, some of whom are very young, are enthusiastic.

Well, I really like this perfume

Unnecessary
Based on my personal perception. I became aware of this fragrance through the ever-loving Mr Fragrance. A BR 540 clone for a windfall of money? Sounds tempting. But to me, it has nothing to do with baccarat rouge. Not with the eau de parfum or the Extrait. You can see the attempt to clone BR, but the rough edges that form its character have been polished so smooth with the sweet coconut that it smells like a 0815 women's shower gel. Besides, it is even more synthetic than BR 540, which I had hardly thought possible. Reminds me rather of sweetish - sticky stuff like Herod, but in a very cheap way. Durability is with 3 to maximum 4 hours for the price quite ok. But I have rarely seen a uglier, more unwieldy bottle. So I strongly advise against a purchase, not to mention a blind buy.

Coconut milk, fluffy synthetic musk and plastic bandaids. Not as sweet or cloying as the notes suggest; surprisingly refined, yet moreish.

Very close to BR 540, a bit more cotton candy/pina colada. Long lasting, high projection. TOO COMMON, getting tired of it fast.

My signature scent! I’m a 28 y/o male, and this sweet, creamy lavender coconut cloid of joy never fails to make me happy. I call it my “uwu” perfume!
