5 years of Parfumo - Welcome to the end of reflection.
I'm afraid I'm going to have to "punish" this scent a little... i would have hoped that he wants to represent something new, maybe strong, but in any case individual, because of the notes!

Also the name "Ginger Lover" has given me hope here, after all ginger is something hot, and for some people it takes some getting used to and intensive,- especially if you eat it raw.

My first impression when testing this newcomer, however, immediately told me "oh no, you know him". I mean, what I smelled was also immediately pleasant, and "beautiful". But the "flash" stayed away a little bit.

My summary after a few minutes, "it smells like Wanted / Wanted Night, but without the eggs". And I mean "Indian cardamom," "Haitian vetiver"...

This is reminiscent of Azzaro's Wanted advertising campaign, with the "special scents", I recall:
calabrian lemon, Nigerian ginger
Guatemala cardamom, cade wood
haitian vetiver, Brazilian tonka bean

Come on, this is your great idea of being on your own now? To give every note a predicate? What's next, Cypriot organic lime? ;P

But more important, to be fair, is how it really smells... and yes, I have to admit, the notes smell somehow quite authentic and are, for a designer fragrance, quite easily distinguishable
But the overall picture of this fragrance then still lacks edge ("edgyness") and also independence.

After having studied the other opinions a little bit, I have to admit that Yves Saint Laurent - "L'Homme" (I don't like Ultime tho..) the "Ginger Lover" also reminds me very, very strongly...
Now that I know, I would perhaps even say that GL is almost like a clone to it. I don't think I thought about it right away, because the notes are tuned a bit different and it somehow stays fresher, but still very similar...

Fun Fact!
Today, just now, I've been a perfumer for five years! :)) I wouldn't have noticed it myself, but it was pointed out to me by chance (thanks at this point to the attentive Venusia! :D)

But unfortunately you can't be a perfumer for so long without becoming a perfume cynic and recognizing the calculation of the big companies who throw ice-cold soulless products on the market,- the main thing is that they have saved the quarterly profit once again!
Come on you artists, you have 2 months time again! Don't forget, it has to sell a lot!

Art and business unfortunately contradict each other, it seems that there is hardly any other way. That's logical, manager profits depend on it... uhhhh my jobs depend on it! D

Therefore, welcome to the end of the reflection!
At the beginning of my Parfumo time, I didn't want to believe it either: you read this blasphemy about "new sweet plörre" all the time... But in fact, the economy often gives perfumery art a hard time. At least that's how I see it...

Honestly, this eau de toilette, is not so bad, you can wear it.
-> Worst insult to a perfume, right ? :D
I admit it, it's also a bit my personal tic... I want a fragrance to stand out, and at least a little bit demanding If only you had raised the pitch a little bit somewhere, so that a few more notes came out, and it "roared" a little like Le Male or Joop Homme...

To me the lover is too boring, not meaningful enough, too interchangeable, too nice, and on top of that there is already something that smells very similar. YSL's L'Homme has in my opinion a more interesting character, and is better tuned.
Especially the new L'Homme Le Parfum, which also goes in a similar direction! (Ok, this is more of a cardamom lover... :D)

As much as I like Ginger: this lover wasn't allowed to do enough, and therefore doesn't lean out of the window far enough for me
I would rather wear Wanted and make a statement, at least a little bit of profile and edges!
Or enjoy YSL L'Homme and a very similar DNA with more fullness and expression.

I hope you will take the comment with a pinch of salt, especially if you like this perfume: At the end of the day tastes are different
And it can be seen as positive that our hobby experiences such a great diversity through all the manufacturers and new developments! I think that's really cool, so I think everybody gets what he wants ;)

So once again I welcome myself at the end of the reflection, cheers to biodiversity, even if it seems partly redundant! :)

An awesome part!
Sorry for the clumsiness, but I can't say otherwise. The scent is present, special, fresh, sweet, sparkling, loud and roomy. You get run over by a smell locomotive when you smell it Somehow, during the research I already guessed that I might like the scent, but I didn't expect that. Basically, it was the wow moment you always hope for when you try new fragrances. But this happens very rarely, maybe with one in 50 fragrances. The last time I had the experience was at L'Humaniste by Frapin (also a mad part).
Like lucky Davidoff, I also loved Adventure Eau Fraîche, but I see similarities more in La nuit de l'homme or even YOU Intense. Ginger Love is, so to speak, the spicy-fresh version of YOU. Less sweet and soft, but similarly pointed and dominant. You have to like that.
I love it So sooner or later I will definitely get it. Until then, I will enjoy the bottling, which I thankfully received from the proud Oskar.

Nice opening with a spiced ginger, lime and a bit of sweetness. In the drydown, the scent remains the same but with vetiver. Bad performance

It smells like a fresh men's body wash. It's not unique, but at least, there is no concern at all that will make others uncomfortable.
