Tiger with heart
Lately I'm more and more "rumtigern" after "fragrance brands", which you can't make out at every corner. Somewhat away from the overpopulated mainstreamers, away from the monotony towards the special. Seems to be age-related. You know more and more what you want and especially what you don't. This is how the contents of my perfume cupboards change more and more. The "catwalk" there found Extatic Tiger Orchid of Balmain. In fact, I see something feline and tiger-like in my mind's eye, but rather tame. An animal that grew up around humans and not one from the wild. Yet still so special that it stands out among other animals. It snuck up on my heart with soft paws. Ginger and a tingling pepper note let the voice of the predatory catkin be heard. I can hear it well but it purrs towards me and I immediately think that I have to stay tuned. I'd like to hear his heart after that. It'll take a moment for the flowery notes to line up. Ylang-Ylang is very powerful and steers some deeper tones into purring, the jasmine is the soft one in it. But both so that I can't really smell the orchid. It doesn't seem to make a difference to me individually, but combined with the other notes, this heart beats an elegant melody. The tingling from the beginning has become milder, but remains the same. Over time Patchouli accompanies the feline song and a beautiful and mild wood note forms a new course in it. Composed so beautifully, the fragrance lingers until the end. Something pure resonates. Like the comparison of copper with gold, in which gold reveals its fineness. A clear and light-blooded purity, almost rather cleanliness and cleanness. Thanks to the exquisite ingredients, this delicately spicy floral fragrance becomes a breeze that stands out from the other Odems. The four-man team Orchidee, Ylang-Ylang, Jasmine and Patchouli is here decisively involved in this signature note and that this fragrance does not sink into the many other blooming waters, but remains in memory. With me this wonderful fragrance experience holds loosely the whole day and if I do not think it any more at my side, I get unexpectedly still compliments.
On cold winter days with sunshine he prepares for spring, in spring and summer and in autumn he carries me with a lot of heart.

Orchid dream far too short
After I liked "Velvet Orchid" by Tom Ford very much I was looking for more orchid scents with slightly different notes. After "Velvet Orchid Lumiere" smells disappointingly almost exactly like its predecessor and "Orchid Soleil" was a bit too heavy or flowery for me and I prefer rather stricter / stronger scents, I hit Balmain here once. First of all the positive:

The fragrance itself is a very fragrant, gentle, round orchid fragrance. Great different than the normal orchids smells the tiger orchid here like I also do not find. In any case, it is the clearly perceptible main note, from the other notes I only feel a hint; ginger blossom, pink pepper and cashmere wood stand out. Ylang Ylang, Jasmin, Patchouli and Benzoe I cannot perceive at all.

The bottle is not bad, lies well in the hand and very valuable worked and packed in a box with double protective padding, but unfortunately the logo of my copy was partly flaked. Well, what the hell, black edding and gold pin will fix it.

Now, unfortunately, to the two absolute weaknesses: Durability and Sillage. These correspond, although marked with EdP, to at most one EdC. You have to spray a lot, but even then the scent experience has an abrupt end after one to 2 hours at the latest, so you don't smell anything anymore, no matter where you sprayed. But if you don't have any problems with regular, luxuriant after-spraying, you can counteract this; unfortunately, you have to carry the clunky 90 ml bottle with you everywhere you go.

All in all there remains a great fragrance, which should be much more concentrated and much better received.
