Anyway, here I come again with a new scent commentary. Maybe some of you thought that I could finally (??) publish less comments here (??), since until recently everything was closed everywhere (and now everything is open and so the contagions could start again if people get careless now, so watch out, will you?!...), so I couldn't stick my nose into fragrances in any shop, could I? Or that I might go sniffing less because of the danger of infection?
Ha ha, my ass! I recently received a letter from dear Flaconesse asking me to write a few words about some of these fragrances, and well, despite the fact that Flaconesse hates Star Wars (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), I'm doing her the favour of writing my opinion about some of the fragrances... see how nice I am? Arrrgh... :D
Well, I was also allowed to choose a few fragrances, and among others I chose this ... well, of course ... fig scent. You know that I like figs very much, and if the scent is well done, then so much the better (which, to be honest, is rather rare, since most fig scents unfortunately smell rather stuffy...). Well then, now I am testing 1902 - Figue Blanche by Berdoues. And since I know some nice scents by Berdoues, my hopes are rising accordingly, that this fig scent could be one of the nicely made scents, especially without having a stifling stuffy aura.
A little later it still smells like figs, although it does smell slightly stuffy now and then, well, this is quite low and therefore in the "okay" range. You can still smell the musk and now also some cedar wood.
At the very end, there is still a slight scent of fig. The sweetness still comes from musk and cedar wood can also be smelled. The biggest difference to the beginning is that the end smells a bit more powdery instead of being creamy like at the beginning. But also the powdery one is very pleasant, so that the scent turned out to be quite nice throughout.
The bottle! The bottle is polygonal and is filled with pink scented liquid. A large label is attached to the front of the bottle, which fits the style of the fragrance's epithet "1902" well, as its design leaves an old impression of bygone days, as if you were buying something in bottles in the early 1800s/1900s. In any case, it's a nice bottle, but it's not that exciting.
I mean, you can hardly smell the scent on yourself, so it will be even less noticeable to others, which is not too bad. A little more effervescence for a great refreshment in summer wouldn't have done any harm. Therefore, the scent remains mostly inconspicuous and is, in my opinion, only recommendable for an easy day. A fragrance for you even on warm days, for leisure time, for lazing around, gardening, feeding the cat or whatever :))
However, it is particularly well suited for work, as it is at least not obtrusive due to its weak charisma.
A test would actually only be recommended for the real fig fans, although I would also tell them that there are even better fig scents, or at least stronger such scents, since the scent is beautiful here in itself, as I said. As always, this is a matter of taste.
