Dark and dry times are dawning?...
Good evening, everyone!
Like almost every evening I am present here again like a plague and imagine a new smell to you. A fragrance with the name "Dark Rain", which doesn't sound like it's going to make you smile. It even sounds pretty dark and gloomy, and that's when spring is coming soon. But that's all right with me. I know I know they say spring is a time of year when everything is happier and more fun and more relaxed and lighter, but all this doesn't help much if you're a little more shy in some things and therefore a little less looking forward to this time of year.
It happens that one prefers the cooler and darker days and then one mutates into the grumpy super villain... well... I bet I become Darth Vader, so I can hide my face behind a dark mask!!! It was clear that this had to come now :DD

But I don't want to whine you over here, on the other hand I didn't come up with anything special to this a little less successful scent, what I could write here, so I switched to the whine and whine mode, mu ha ha ha! ... I hope you are still there and keep reading :D

Well, I still like the name Dark Rain, even though it should sound like a hackneyed fantasy novel title! Unfortunately the fragrance hasn't exactly become a blast...

The fragrance:
The fragrance begins with a strong, bitter ginger note, which also smells quite dry. In addition there are approaches of the mandarin, which flies however fast again and/or is superimposed by the ginger. In my opinion, the dryness of the fragrance is further enhanced by earthy notes, but I don't know where these earthy notes come from. That could be the vetiver, but it still doesn't smell like that grass note.
A little later the fragrance is still a bit dry, but now it gets at least a little bit softer notes, because now also sweeter fragrances are added, which radiate especially from the amber. Some oranges are also present in the background, but you have to smell them more precisely.
Towards the end, the earthy one actually smells a little like vetiver, and there is also cedar. The later end or the late base seems drier to me, because the sweet scents weaken again. Normally such a dry note is not necessarily bad, for example in Mediterranean scents, where such scents are reminiscent of plants roasted in the sun and you inevitably have to think of beautiful holiday resorts, but here these scents seem a little stuffier to me, which I just don't like that much.

Sillage and shelf life:
The Sillage has turned out above average and is therefore not only smellable from close up. Sure, you can't sniff it from a distance, but you should be able to smell it next to someone or a few meters away.
The shelf life seems to be longer than seven or eight hours, so it's okay.

The bottle:
The bottle is rectangular and rectangular. It is clear and seems to be made of thicker glass. There is no sticker or label, instead the brand and name are directly on the front of the glass. The lid is gold plated and cylindrical. All in all a quite puristic and little spectacular bottle.

Soo... well, I personally didn't like this fragrance so much, because on the whole it is a bit too dry and herbaceous. So I don't know what I could use a scent like that for. I don't like it during the day, neither in my spare time, nor for anything else, and I don't like it for the evening, because I wouldn't use such a scent for going out or meeting friends anyway. What's left of it? Well, I can't tell you that either, you just have to try it yourself and let it work on you for a while. Of course all this is only my personal opinion and maybe the fragrance could be a revelation for you, but... I don't think so... :D I don't recommend this fragrance for testing!

Otherwise, the scent would be a kind of all-rounder from the point of view of smell, whereby it could crush in summer with its dry scent, which much later also comes across a little more stuffy.

So, but does the scent smell like dark rain now? Well, I don't know, I'd say no! But how does dark rain smell anyway? And what actually is dark rain? A precipitation filled with ash, as is sometimes the case with volcanic eruptions? Well, I have no idea here either... but if I become a super villain at some point, as written in the introduction, then I'll find out for sure, because dark rain sounds really dark and should be part of the standard repertoire of every meanie, mu ha ha ha ha he he he (I'm already practicing the megalomaniac laugh :DD).

Well then, have a nice evening and see you! :)
