The scent that blossoms in the night
Moonflower. So moonflower. Does that mean it's a flower growing on the moon? Because that would be quite interesting and exciting, it would mean that there would be life on the moon! But of course all the world is searching desperately for life on Mars, it's typical again... :D

Of course, this is a thought that first occurs to Blumenbanausen as I am one of them. Because how am I supposed to know with my little flower knowledge that there are actually flowers (on earth!) that are called moonflowers?

Because there is a flower from the genus of the splendor-winds, that listens to the scientific name Ipomoea alba and colloquially is called moon-flower (or moon-winds), since it opens its blooms in the night firstly and secondly is supposed to remind of a full moon due to its white color of the blooms in the opened state.

So all this is really interesting and inspires you to want to know more about plants, but somehow I also think that I haven't learned much more about flowers until my next plant scent commentary... because I'm probably a lazy sack or something... but no matter, let's get to the scent :D

The fragrance:
In the beginning I smell roses and candied fruits, which are the most clearly smelling fragrances for me in the top note. In addition there are very light figs and peaches. A slight sweetness is also present, but I cannot say what this sweetness is currently coming from. Anyway, the peaches appear a little like these delicious peach rings :D
The notes described then continue to mix, although the roses can still be seen among them. Now Amber is added as well, and so I also know where the sweetness of the fragrance came from earlier.
Later a little musk is added, but the fragrance does not become much sweeter. In the end the fragrance remains sweet-fruity and flowery (the flowery notes in the later base become a bit stuffy), besides you can smell a little cedar.

The Sillage and the shelf life:
The charisma is weak, so you are not wrapped in a nice fragrance after spraying. So you should assume that the scent will not be noticed by many people.
The shelf life is also rather short, as the fragrance lasts just five hours before it can hardly be smelt.

The bottle:
The bottle is quite simple. It is simply rectangular with no special features and has the name of the fragrance in golden letters on the front. The lid is gold plated and cylindrical. Well, it's one of those puristic flacons of many niche fragrances, but at least this one comes with a nicer lid.

Okay, hmm... I think that scent is okay. It doesn't stink, but unfortunately it's not really outstanding either. It is simply quite "nice" and is therefore well suited for leisure time and or during the day as a simple, slightly sweet and flowery scent for warm days. Some will find it better, others maybe worse, everyone has to decide for themselves, but you don't have to test it, because you won't miss anything if you can't get to this scent.

And if the smell of moonflowers... well, I don't know. But what do you expect from someone who told you earlier that he didn't even know that there are flowers called moonflowers at all? But I have to admit that these flowers look very pretty after all :D

Well, that's it again. Have a nice evening, see you then :)
