Their Most Vintage Fragrance
This is a Grand Affair, opulent like the name suggests. This fragrance opens with a soft bitter citrus and a woody undertone. Then you get the florals. Lavender and Rose can sometimes read as "soap" but not in this case. The powder slowly creeps in but it is warm and amber like. It doesn't "age" the scent but instead does lend it that vintage feel. I tend to dislike vanilla as a note because it can overpower or detract from the other notes. This is not the case with this fragrance. The vanilla is there the whole time as a background character. It doesn't detract from the other notes, instead the vanilla draws you in and the florals keep you there. I actually got complimented on this perfume, I thought it had faded but my co-workers smelled it just fine. It lasted all day.
