Oud saves the Queen
...and the scent, too, because otherwise it would have been very mild. So even men can wear it (just) (although it is almost too mild and nice to me personally). The classification as unisex scent is therefore fully justified. Both the Queen and her husband can wear it. According to the topic wedding anniversary / long relationship / eternal love the rose was used as a central component. In contrast to my precommentator I find an oriental oriented (what a pun) fragrance actually already fitting. The English like to follow their empire and the "great" past and also have a romantic attitude to the Orient, as a kind of longing projection screen of sensuality. And finally, the monarchy is only a romantic remnant of the good old days. Fits everything quite well together, as well as the notes in the fragrance.

What is immediately noticeable at the beginning is a fruity rose, which also has a lasting effect on the perfume. Rarely have I perceived a rose so intensively and almost three-dimensionally. Later I found out that it smells like my sister-in-law's rose jam (rose jam tastes pretty intense, but not really sweet).

The floral heart - jasmine is also included - is beautifully complemented by the soft woody base. I don't perceive Patchouli very strongly. The oud, by the way, is very harmoniously incorporated, fortunately far removed from smoked ham and similar notes. In general, everything fits very well together here, which one can expect in view of the proud price.

Conclusion: Very comfortable to wear and of high quality. It's also nice that despite the oriental tendency you don't get killed. For me personally, however, the fragrance is almost too "feminine", so it's already borderline. Durability is ok, Sillage is not too intrusive or you can use the fragrance rather discreetly, as the Queen would probably do. Whether the Kombi Rose/Oud is now particularly original, I can't say due to lack of experience, but many have already pointed this out. I would never spend the proud price of about 600 Euronen on a perfume, but everyone has to decide for himself.

Thanks to Terra for the sample, was my first of the brand.

Expensive beautiful blue bottle
It might be a kind of trend to create exotic and ultra expensive perfumes because like Xerjoff the britan brand Boadicea also have their blue bottles line. Blue Sapphire is a Harrods Exclusive that seems towards their public that loves oud creations. This is another one the usual combination of roses and agarwood, with some similarties in this accord with Guerlain Rose Nacree du Desert.Sapphire opens more musky than it on skin, with an animalic variety that seems to give this dirty nuance to the oud, but soon this oud accord takes on its medicine and woody naunces and mixes with the roses aroma. Those are roses with a green lemony aura, slightly bitter, and that are finished in a earthy patchouli that shows itself after one hour on skin.Certainly is a good oud perfume, but suffers from the same problem as many ones, that if you already have one in your collection it has big chances of being redundant. Unless, of course, that you are a bottle and oud fragrances collector and had fallen in love with the very beautiful blue tonality that this one has.
