Untamed Rose & Leather
Very fruity, opulent floral gives itself to Almas. Leaves no doubt that rose is a central theme of this fragrance. The fruits of the top note provide a certain "relief" of the deep dark rose in the heart. Open the fragrance slightly in the direction of semi-transparency. Nevertheless, it is and remains a combination that many will certainly think about: Rosen-Oud. Again.

But this BtV here is worth a test and an unbiased view.

The oud used (Cambodian) is smoky and woody and (fortunately) completely free of farm attitudes. Together with the suede, the result is a slightly rough texture that creates a wonderful counterpoint to the red opulence. But also to the well-known chord marriage of rose and eagle wood. The suede textures and comes as the finest, light-coloured leather. Light velour. In any case and at any time unspielt.

I found it very positive that the fruity, floral top note was put into the background after a good 3 hours and gave plenty of room to the calm smokiness of the suede oud. At this point, the fragrance becomes really unisex for me and gets a somewhat harsher facet that allows me to identify with it.

From hour 4+ the softer basic chords come into their own. Although the projection is still almost unadjusted, I now smell sandalwood, vanilla and white musk close to my skin. A preview of the drydown that can't be nicer.

Within the next 4-6 hours Almas continues to feed its wearer. Becomes more cuddly and enables a loving farewell in the afternoon with a broad smile on your face.

I can recommend this fragrance to anyone who would like to test a rose oud with leather twist. I consider myself very ambitious to buy a bottle of it. We would like to point out that at the current temperatures, above 30 degrees Celsius, a high degree of sensitivity in dosage would be advisable. Every degree over wellness temperature (22°C) more lets the scent feel in 10cm steps take the room in the storm. The projection is gigantic. That's what the Oudh does. That somehow belongs in the warmth. :)

@ The Buddha's Enlightenment
According to some versions of the mythology, at the moment when The Buddha attained enlightenment, jewels rained fræ the sky such that they were knee-deep on the ground. I think also, the air was replete with this perfume! Or, if Mary Magdelene had had this in her wardrobe, it would have been the one wherewithal she anointed the head of Jesus of Nazareth.

Basically, I would say this is possibly the closest approach to ~the perfect 'fume~ I have ever encountered. I hesitate to say that ^any^ perfume of this price is worth it; but, on the plane of perfume, and given that they do have the exceedingly high prices that they do, this one possibly does actually ~justify~ its price. And it is ^indeed^ ~pistikæs polutelous~!

Would anyone agree that some of these higher price-brackett (and by that I mean 'higher' on ^this^ provenancer's scale (!)) 'fumes, such as this one, and ~Green Sapphire~, induce the illusion that when you intraspire of it you are ^drinking^ it? Bit weird, I know; but they ^do^ do that with me!

A warm and powdery, yet gently leathery, oriental floral-woody Fall fragrance, balanced by a juicy spicy-fruity opening. More masculine.

Rose-oud-combo reinterpreted. Initial strong fruitiness of pineapple deteriorates and then supports the whole skilfully. Unusual and fine!
