Medieval church
At the Speyer Medieval Market I was asked about the fragrance twice. A surprise? Probably more of a tactical calculation.
I associate this fragrance with an old, medieval church with stone walls shrouded in incense and wooden floors soaked in smoke. This paired with leather bindings of old books.
Not in the musty way, however, but in the soothing, warm way. The incense and sandalwood are the stars here.
The fragrance is also very unisex and, despite its association with old & medieval times, does not give off any ''old man/woman vibes''. A dream for some, a horror for others.
My mother (only light fragrances, very sensitive to heavy notes) also commented very positively on the fragrance, but said at the same time that the day, the circumstances and the person have to be right to get the beneficial essence out of this fragrance. For the sake of the wearer and the environment. She is right. It is not a fragrance for everyday wear and it really has to suit you so as not to burden your environment.
Conclusion: It was a blind buy that really hit the mark for me. In the sale for about 11 euros for 15ml, not much could have gone wrong.
