Sunday Morning Scent
Sunday, 10 o'clock in the morning in Germany. Here with me.
The sun's rays fall into the room, coffee scent drifts through the house.
After a long shower, the opulent breakfast is waiting - my little luxury after a busy week as always.

Freshly baked rolls and all sorts of goodies are waiting in the kitchen.
I enjoy the first sip of hot coffee and smell on me this scent, which I put on after the shower...
It refreshes, makes you feel good and yet has edges. Nothing sweet.
I am so what of enthusiastic..
At first, it starts woody and resinous, cypress and cedar in alternation.
Breakfast forest feeling. That's already wonderful.

I go out into the garden and the fresh air multiplies the woodsy nuances. The weather is too nice to sit inside, I carry all the utensils to the garden table and celebrate my morning start. The summer can come !!!

The scent is changing. Now join tart plums and some cinnamon, the appropriate jam is ready..... Buttery-steaming, the jam almost drips down from the bun, a delight.

I crack open my boiled egg and think about what's coming up today. Some things still need to be fixed in the garden, almost everything is planted - it just needs to grow...
Breakfast is almost finished, another sip of coffee, the crumbs are for the birds and squirrels...and other critters..

I stride across the lawn with far too many dandelions and countless daisies, but I like it so wild....Warm vanilla and musky notes accompany me with every step, a wonderful finish. A comforting coziness lulls me to sleep.

This is the way to start the day.

Is that happiness?

Yes.
Breakfast Thoughts

As I sat at the table at breakfast,
drinking the coffee, eating the roll,
it suddenly occurred to me:
Why and who and what am I?

I pondered for a very long time,
if fate, meaning and misfortune
i could explain to myself?
But this was not granted me.

Then I wanted to analyse:
Was I often happy? If yes, when?
And had immediately determined
that it's with me the balance holds.

How can I shape a future
in which my happiness can unfold? Can I avoid it at all,
not to suffer too much and often?

How much is there in my hands?
What will fate twist and turn?
Is everyone the architect of his own fortune?
To what extent do I direct what happens?

A "Help yourself, then God will help you!",
sounds too simplistic, easy, snappy to me.
I suppose there's a grain of truth to it,
though it can't help me now.

So I kept thinking, all the time ... and whether I was doing the right thing?
In the end I came to the conclusion:
Much brooding also brings much annoyance!

Ah, the moral of the story?!
I don't know myself.

fruity and spicy winter bliss
Even as a child I loved spiced plum jam, preferably the classic kind with cloves and cinnamon.
This has to do with my age alone: Back then, in the fifties, people weren't so keen to experiment when it came to seasoning, and (looking back) with my long-unrecognized pepper allergy, that really got away from me.
Because I still have to avoid a lot of things today due to my sensitive airways.

I still love plums, plump fruits covered in silvery frost, picked directly from the tree if possible, only lightly wiped, opened and eaten with almost childlike enthusiasm! (Not forgetting the pleasurable licking of my fingers afterwards!)
The inside of the opened fruit stands out against the dark purple skin like a light or golden brown: I definitely eat with my eyes.

So it's no wonder that I fished out No. "401: Cèdre - Prune Confite - Vanilla" from the rich range of fragrances from "Bon Parfumeur" today: candied plum, accompanied by delicious spices that take you to the spicy Orient of 1,001 nights.
The woody nuances alone in the coating of the plums inspire me: cedar and cypress meet here in a spicy harmony of scents and feed my dreams of Mediterranean, sunlit landscapes.

Endlessly long and seemingly endless cypress avenues in Tuscany and cedars with sweeping views over the Mediterranean: how beautifully this impression with conifers matches the aromatic fruits in silvery, sugary garb.
A few dashes of bergamot (it simply must not be missing!) wink before resinous vanilla peels out of a spicy smoky veil of elemi resin, labdanum and not too dark incense.
I find the selection of these three resins, together with this sensual, warm vanilla, to be extremely sophisticated:
The first impression of an ordinary plum (must) fragrance quickly became a special delicacy: In "401: Cèdre - Prune Confite - Vanilla" I find winter bliss to spoon up!
Fruity sweetness with a hint of citrus, wonderful Mediterranean coniferous wood aromas and well-matched resinous-smoky veils come together here to create a tasteful composition full of warmth and sensual pleasure.

The fragrant warmth of "401: Cèdre - Prune Confite - Vanilla" lingers for some time, enveloping you with pleasure and protection at the same time.
As I snuggle up comfortably, I wonder which fragrance from this brand's range would be suitable for layering here.
The idea of "Bon Parfumeur" is that all fragrance creations should not only be suitable as solitary fragrances, but also as fragrance building blocks for a very own, special creation.
Perhaps one day I will feel like doing a fragrance puzzle; the thought is tempting.

Wonderful pluminess
Yes, I'm an olle sweet tooth and I like it best when just desserts have many different flavors. The 401 was an online blind purchase and since I am very enthusiastic about 402, I bought the sister - more also from the motivation to save me shipping costs.

The first spray sobered, because the cedar-cypress- resin aroma mixture was much too masculine for me. Although the bergamot came slowly, only I found the top note rather nothing for me. I was about to shove 401 into the corner of men's fragrances when I smelled it again on my wrist and there it was: That warm, very spicy warm plum. The smell of plum grits with cinnamon and something citrusy - probably the bergamot. Patchouli then gave me the rest and I did have a bit of a crush. The base of sandalwood, vanilla and musk give the scent a great warmth without drifting into sweetness. Instead, the spice from the head is then found in the labdanum again and connects the fragrance to a round, spicy-warming sweetheart.

To me, there's something insanely homey and warming about this scent, while also being insanely complex and pleasant. He is something between niche and Crowdpleaser, but which may be too woody-spicy for many.
I think the 401 is a great scent with depth and warmth, but it doesn't slay you, rather it sneaks up on you and then it's there: not unpleasant or penetrating but noticeable. It's definitely worth looking at and noticing.

The search for the hidden
Feel whole worlds open up after the first sprayer. The wearer of this fragrance feels deep within himself the sting of curiosity about the unknown, the desire to cross the narrow line that separates our concrete thoughts from the darkly coloured, mystical fantasies of the unconscious, as well as the will not to tie up his own mind with the chains of the visible and generally known. The fragrance tempts one to hover in the twilight between reality and its flip side. One goes into the shadow of oneself, where we are accommodating all our colours of being.
The French have created something quite extraordinary here.
The fragrance is incredibly dark and mysterious with its smoky aura. But still silky soft and not too aggressive. It starts off with an oriental wickedness and a mischievous sweet and sourness that has the desire to fascinate everyone. This is accompanied by smoke chords reminiscent of firewood and descending further and further into the depths of the infamous. The plum and vanilla form a symbiotic relationship, and this love affair gives the fragrance an incredibly erotic arrogance. One could assume that you're dealing with an incredibly expensive perfume. Definitely unisex, but without losing its magic, as the fragrance perfectly sympathizes with the aura of its wearer and is as multi-faceted as a camaeleon, creeping along and promising a very big entrance.

Saturday morning breakfasts many years ago
Waking up at my grandparents’ house many years ago… following the sounds, I enter the cozy kitchen. The curtains have been flung open, the coffee is brewing, the weather channel is on the TV, and the newspaper is on the table. Opposite me sit my two grandparents and a jar of plum compote. That is the scene this perfume conjures up in my mind, waking the joyful memories of Saturdays long gone.

The scent smells like a lovely, sweet, yet slightly tart plum compote. I notice the plum notes strongly, together with spices, a slight woodiness and some vanilla. It is a unique, comforting, and cozy scent with good longevity and minimal sillage. Even though it sits rather close to the skin, for me it is a smooth, warming, and mood-boosting gourmand-leaning fragrance.
