Côte d'Azur
Amber Cologne is a wonderful, good mood scent and a brilliant dmitry idea. For me, a Côte d'Azur holiday feeling on my skin. Easy. Free. And full of joy.
It starts with a soft, fresh citric of bitter orange peel. They spray a little even fruitiness. No nuance seems artificial, but so real and high-quality that the fragrance looks more like a perfectly preserved moment.
And this is also where the difference between high-quality natural ingredients and the ubiquitous chemistry in the niches becomes apparent. Amber cologne is like the echo of a real orange. Take her in your hand and riech´an her. It is not the projection monster, but a wonderful, calm companion that is nevertheless perceived, and precisely because of these qualities.
I would describe the next olfactory level as creaminess. Here flowers (Fragipani, Jasmin) unite to a soft-white emulsion and absorb the citric. They are carriers and significantly extend the shelf life of bitter oranges. Add to a harmonious overall picture.
Basically, it is precisely these flowers and the real, unobtrusive citric that remain the main theme of the fragrance. They now dim over a good 7 hours more and more in the direction of skin proximity.
I only notice the third level, real ambergris, when I sniff directly at the skin. Here I find this magical, warm combination of amber and sandalwood. A poem.
If you now put all these chords together, Amber Cologne - fortunately - is not a Cologne in the classical sense. It is an interpretation of the theme of freshness and independence - with very precious ingredients. Unadulterated and above all without (noticeable) chemical fixators that force artificial projection or durability.
Seven hours, with moderate projection, are wonderful and relaxing.
Amber cologne is a hug.
And definitely unisex.
