a gentle ride on vanilla waves
Recently I made a kind of inventory of my bottlings and found out that many specimens that have been lying around for a long time are almost empty: their contents have probably evaporated over time.
(Here even "vamoosed" might fit well!)
That is a pity and that is why I picked out all those who are affected and now I am about to give these scents, which have accumulated, the attention they deserve.
This explains my relatively many statements of the last days.
So "Parfums de Joaillier" by Boucheron fell into my hands and since I am known to be "Boucheron-affin", I had to test it extensively of course.
Right at the beginning, this fragrance reminds me of the times when my girlfriend came to the Advent dinner and first unpacked the orange her daughter had larded with carnations for me in a pretty bowl. Who of us doesn't know it, this classic fragrance of the pre-Christmas season?
I don't even want to deny that there is a hint of cloves; this nuance would already fit this fragrance creation.
The fruity and fresh start, once without the bergamot, which sometimes gets on my nerves, appeals to me very much.
Tangerine and bitter orange correspond well with each other; this mixture is not too sweet; rather a bit tart, but without the bitterness of grapefruit.
It is not surprising that jasmine and orange blossom form a magical fragrance alliance Both are so soft and feminine, delicate yet fragrant: a blessing and joy for heart and soul!
They harmonize extremely well with the somewhat unusual freshness of the Entrées.
All of this rides lazily and sensitively on a velvety, sweet wave of vanilla: vanilla that warms, that caresses, embraces and invites you to feel good.
In order to avoid being drowned in this sensual wave, this sweet fruity heaviness was stabilized with sandalwood. Its erotic light scratchiness is exactly what was missing.
And of course lots of spicy amber gold: what would this cuddly vanilla blanket be without golden amber scented speckles?
I meet a sensual, warm scented blanket that is good for me and in which I can cuddle up relaxed.
The spirit of the pre-Christmas season seems to be hidden in it (at least for me); he smiles at me kindly before pulling me into his warm, sweet embrace!
Certainly, "Parfums de Joaillier" is not an extraordinary creation, not an absolute "must have".
But at the moment it seems to be exactly what I need: a warmth dispenser that gently and fragrantly envelops me and leads me into a certain peace and quiet where I can also linger and relax.
I'm glad I found it just now.
Maybe that's the way it should be?
