so now I have to take the time
comment. I bought it blind about two weeks ago. Unpacked, bottle nothing great (Drogeriestyle), but with nice label from Mr. Bronnley. There's a label on the back like Waschbezin, immediately removed. Even the BATHMTQ in the front doesn't do that anymore. So good so bad. Nevertheless I still smelled full of anticipation only at the sprayer and first thought: "Fuck wrong purchase". It smells like I don't want to smell when I hear it for the first time and since I am a self-confessed oldscooler, I have of course run in accordingly, or rather got stuck. But with a little good lubrication, I can always get out pretty well. If I have to describe the fragrance %ual then this way: 40% Kiton Men, 25% Chanel Egoiste, 25% 4711 and now please hold on (I swear) 10% Paco Rabanne One Million...could fail. And that was immediately what I found in the scent, let's say politely, not quite conventional. But it goes on, because this scent is English but not English either, at least not English, as one is used to from Penhaligons or Trumper.
Bronnley doesn't just want to serve pictures, he also wants to make pounds. But it's not really modern either but somehow it is again.
And it's definitely a cologne, and the most enduring one I've ever had on me.
In short, I think it's great now; it's fresh yet dense, foggy yet clear, sweet, almost too sweet, very light yet very durable. One notices that here everything has been done with great knowledge and very light hand. It can be worn at any time of the day and at any occasion. In the office, like a walk in the woods or a super-elegant in any season. I can imagine him on a 20 year old Flippi, as well as a 70 year old conservative, that makes him unique for me and I swear, strangely enough even the millionaire is in the right place, I don't know why ... It will definitely get a firm place on my shelf. And slowly I get some pictures of Good Old England through .. gorgeous
I think this fragrance is a gift in every way.
