So this is how fresh Bordeaux smells ?
My first assessment and then still blind. That can only be what ?
The first impression I get from the perfume is immediately a concentrated charge of a barbershop fragrance. For me, a barbershop scent is very fresh, citrusy and always has something of an aftershave or something "clean". I'm guessing lemon and some bergamot from what I'm detecting. If I had to express the perfume as an image, it would be something between a good hairdresser visit and freshly washed clothes.
After just under an hour, the strong citrusy freshness fades and turns into a somewhat floral toned down form of itself. The scent is no longer as "penetrating" as initially, but a little more pleasant. However, it also no longer smells as strongly of freshly washed laundry, but more floral. I usually have a hard time there. The typical lavender note of a fougeres I smell at least not, which is why I leave the barbershop expression alone. In drydown the scent doesn't smell particularly different it just gets weaker. After half a day I have to make an effort to still be able to perceive the scent on the strip. A high durability I have but also not expected with the freshness.
Overall, the fragrance is a round thing. That is also what I would criticize. In the perfume I lack a little complexity. He smells by no means bad but now times not particularly.

The water of Bordeaux
It is not so easy to describe this fragrance. Especially since, admittedly, I'm not entirely objective. My daughter has been living in Bordeaux for some time now and that's why it's of course a special and beautiful place for me to feel connected to.
Apart from that, Bordeaux is a beautiful city. That's why, of course, I wished I liked him. But the scent really surprised me!

The first impression: Yes, quite nice. Discreetly citric, somehow neutral, will certainly not get on anyone's nerves. I think of dry grass as if it hadn't rained for a few weeks in a hot summer. Slightly sweet, but not like sugar or even honey, rather sweet, I think of tonic water as a "sweet yardstick". He's not changing much.
Aaaaber: There's more to it!

Surprise 1: It lasts forever! For example, I've been wearing it for almost 13 hours today and still smell it clearly on my arm!
Surprise 2: He's *yet* special and you recognize him! The second time you wear it, it feels so familiar. He memorized himself secretly. I don't know any scent to confuse it with!

Conclusion: He sneaked secretly into my heart and during my next stay in Bordeaux I get a bigger bottle!
