The Mixtape
When I look back once again and think about all the effort one has made in young years to conquer his swarm, or to make his girlfriend a joy, then the legendary and immensely important mixtape comes to mind to me with regard to the name of the fragrance, what one used to put together laboriously
Today you only hold a USB stick in your hand.

Putting a mixtape together was a lot of work and took 2-3 hours, until you had 90min empty cassette full and the songs had exactly the order you imagined and in the end was not too much idle and the song did not stop suddenly because the tape was gone. Who doesn't know it anymore...you had to sit in front of your turntable and hit the right spot on the record with the needle, and then quickly press the pause button, or record button on your tape recorder, depending on how far you were. That didn't always work out just as well. With CD players this was a bit easier later.
Anyway, every girl you'd invested a lot of time in knew about and appreciated this
Preferably it was mostly about ballads, cuddly rock, heart-pain, trilling that was supposed to make the lady of the heart think of you when you weren't there and still find herself in the songs.

"And it's hard to hold a candle,
In the cold November rain"

From my point of view, ballads by rock bands were the best, as I always had a soft spot for rock anyway and in the 80s there were lots of glam rock bands to help themselves to. Nobody talked about copyright and duplication at that time, and every Walkman needed food.

Well, to dance a decent stamp skirt, a clip blues, the only dance I really know it always needed good music. A slow dance also dances excellently with the right scent, because after all this is an intimate approach.
With regard to the mixtape, Byredo also succeeded in creating a good mix here.

If you press the play button, sweet sounds are emitted when the band plays Opoponax. This is a resin from the sweet myrrh tree, which also has a slightly smoky effect, but which passes quickly. It stays sweet and warm. I thought at first this would be too sweet, but it was still possible.

Next Labdanum starts, which makes it warm, soft and really nice and balsamic. Here Ambra resonates, which is typical and I know it from fragrances like Grand Soir. This dance is now becoming more intimate and cuddly. The Sillage is still quite violent in the beginning, but then calms down.
The rose geranium gives off some freshness and also no more, no hairspray or anything else disturbs me, I am sensitive and I don't smell violets at all.
Then already a beautiful vanilla flows out which unites with the whole balsamic, resinous one and the sweetness diminishes nevertheless a little, Patchouli will be responsible for it.

The whole dance goes a felt little eternity and you can see, if the mix is right and you have made an effort, you can very quickly forget the time and indulge.
Like the mixtapes of that time, which sometimes ran through the nights (a high for the auto reverse function), this fragrance can score with endurance.
The technology has become simpler, which is a good thing, but back then you just had to think about it.

A beautiful resinous oriental scent that will surely find many friends. Tendentious rather ladies, but I think that also goes very well on a man.

A scent for both sexes, a scent for every time except summer, a scent for 2 and again I hear the lines like then...

We danced so close
We danced so slow
And I swore I'd never let you go...

The cuddly one with slightly sacral impact
In the first moment he reminds me of incense but with creamy character, then he becomes floral - no that's the wrong word, rather softer and rounder, the often piercing of incense is completely missing and that's good, is rather so slow motion. I think he also has something sweet but not candy sweet rather such a fine floral-sweet, unusually new, different but very flattering for my pampered nose. Violets, vanilla and patchouli for a mixture - very beautiful. After about 1 hour he has something comfortably warm, you might think some cannabis smells you out. Nothing with Peace and so on.No I like the mixture after 2-3 hours really well, fits perfectly into autumn. A fiery Tango with close body contact that fits now or in the evening with the dearest one cuddled in the blanket and look deep into the eyes and let yourself fall into these so trusting arms. It remains very body-hugging, no loud Kracher but a quiet whisperer. There are two sizes to choose from, I think he will quickly find his lover - rightly so!
