Undisguised Monster
When I first flew over the scent pyramids, Felino had actually aroused my interest, whereas Drakon wasn't even on the "Urgent Test" list.
Anticipated: Drakon is now by far the strongest candidate of the Carner "Bestial Collection" - and was the only buy-it-now candidate (thank God...?!).

Drakon starts dark, mystical and surprisingly serious.
I have no idea why I expected something different, more oppulent or at worst "more romantic". In any case, I am glad that the theme was not implemented as I had expected it to be!
This also leads me straight to my headline:
Drakon is a quite straightforward, powerful and yet not restless or obtrusive scent (even if the scent experience should not enrapture everyone, Drakon is too unconventional, maybe too dark).
Shaped, infused and surrounded by ethereal, deepest, darkest green and acrid smoke. Peppery and/or spicy I feel it only limited, for that the color dark green and the smoky breath of the dragon are simply too dominant.

Fir branches burn and carbonize, sweating in the heat of the fire. The smell wafts over the steaming forest floor.
The dragon in the sky darkens the night almost completely.

In all the scenario and the brute force of smoke and fire, Drakon actually manages to be invigorating and even fresh (in the most unfresh sense). So back to the word ethereal, which actually hits what I mean quite well.
Leather is also added. Not cuddly or even cuddly. It is crunchy. And completely smoky.
Above all, the whole time the fir tree lies or the fir balsam flows.

Even if individual nuances occasionally evoke very fleeting memories of other fragrances, for example in my case shortly after the opening on Buveur de Vent and partly also in the later leather nuance on Ombré Leather 16, Drakon remains unique for me in the composition.
Uncomplicated, raw, powerful, invigorating.
And as for "woody" scents, he's playing in the master class.

Drakon starts with a strong peppery, woody and green scent. In the drydown, you get a dry, earthy, dark oud, smoke and leather.
