A Sour, Artificial Rose Mess
I recently purchased some samples of many different perfumes and also added a sample of the Very Good Girl Glam. This is a floral perfume and not a cherry one, in no way shape, or form, this is gourmand or fruity leaning and I can see people enjoy it only if they like floral scents especially rose. It is not the worst fragrance out there and if you like flowery scents I think you will enjoy it, but for me (who I enjoy florals as well), the rose was way too sharp.
I cannot understand how it is considered one of the best cherry perfumes, because for real I cannot detect it and I cannot smell the almond as easily either, idk. The Rose is definitely the main accord, there is a slight bitterness from the almonds, and the sourness in the opening is most likely from the cherries, but you cannot smell them, because of the rose. Additionally, the vanilla is also almost invisible. In general, even if it is not the worst perfume ever, as I have seen in some reviews, it is still very messy, sharp, sour, and artificial with all the notes being blended to the point of being just one messy combination with a layer of rose on top. I will give them the fact that because of the vetiver, I can see people wearing it all year around and not being cloying because there is a very slight green freshness as well.
I have seen people say that they can smell the OG GG DNA and no, I don't see it, I can see the VGG DNA more, because of how "bright" it is. I am a huge lover of the OG GG and sadly every other flanker I have smelled falls flat, because not only the DNA is vastly different, but because the vibe is different, the original was a sensual, deeper, darker, and more gourmand (not excessively, but more than the flankers) smell, VGG, Blush, and now Glam are targeted to younger people I think, with the smells being very bright, to the point of coming out very girly and almost juvenile. I am not a fan, but I can see people like them, not gonna lie, I just don't think that all these perfumes fit in the same collection idk.
All in all meh and a no from me
