In the air and on the skin
Probably you know this: In the sillage - optionally in the projection - the fragrance smells different than on the skin. So it happens to me today with "Aimez-Moi":
At the first spray, I immediately have garden carnation in the nose. Oh, I think, a clove perfume. At some point in a comment I once wrote that I like garden carnation in fragrance. I've since learned that I like it as a companion fragrance note in a perfume, but not so much as the lead. So for now, I'm reserved in my enthusiasm.
I look it up here and: Oh! No garden carnation at all. So I spray again, it is not absolutely necessary, but I want to sniff again after the prelude. And I stick with it: I smell carnation! However, as I now notice, the clove impression is more in the air around me, because this time I sniff with my nose more intensely also directly over the sprayed skin and actually sense violet (tart with a hint of powder) and anise (fresh with a hint of sweetness). The violet has a little "edge" to it. Bergamot I would directly deny.
Even after a few hours have passed, the scent of clove lingers right around me. Only when I lower my head, some anise waft towards me: my T-shirt got sprays and here the anise swings up to the main actor. Right on the skin now, the heart note is a floral melange with a delicate hint of fruit. I wouldn't dare try to specify any fragrance notes. A lovely idea is also present. But whether that comes from the vanilla, the anise or the amber from the base.... Musk and woods from the base do not reveal themselves to me, it remains as described for the heart note, only becomes increasingly difficult to sniff.
Conclusion: if I wanted to wear "Aimez-Moi", I would spray it on in autumn, because it has the right warmth for this time of year. However, I can not really get excited about "Aimez-Moi": the heart note is too weak for me, the woods avoid me, the sillage tells a different story than the skin.
