Le baiser de l'ange/The Kiss of the Angel
Sacré,...holy! That name says it all. Rarely have I encountered perfumes that really had such a sacred scent as they were called. Sacré is one of them. I've wanted to write about this impressive perfume for a long time, and now it's time. Why? Because it's getting cooler and darker outside. Because we will long for security and warmth. Because the soul becomes more and more sensitive and thinner, the closer the ice and frost comes. And because the pre-Christmas time is coming soon, because that's the time it fits best. Sacré is for me the scent of an angel, but not a small, cute angel. This angel is powerful, big and very impressive. Caron created holiness in person with Sacré. The scent of Holy Mary or her army of proud angels.
The scent
Sacré begins very rough and spicy in its top note, which is due to the very present clove and the high proportion of pepper. A good portion of dry and astringent cinnamon is also well perceptible. At the beginning it doesn't necessarily look lovely, but it will soon be, when the spice storm has calmed down a bit and the heart note slowly emerges. At Sacré, too, the transitions are very soft and smooth, as is usual for the Caron house. The complete heart note blends so skilfully with the top note, which is still very well perceptible. All listed flowers and the rosewood are not to be recognized in detail except for a maximum of maybe two. The orange blossom and a velvety-sweet and heavy dark rose. What followed is as if heaven were opening up! In the base note, a quite smoky vanilla blends with a soft and powdery amber to a kind of heavenly spice dust. But which in turn becomes almost tangible and creamy again due to a resinous myrrh and a nuance of musk. A Zibet note, which can only be guessed, is by no means animalistic but at most underlines Sacré's charismatic and protective side. The perfume gets a very awesome and sacred aura through the interplay of the individual notes. Powerful security and an almost sensual harmony on the highest artistic level. Adorable in the truest sense of the word!
Conclusion
I've smelled many scents that use the word "sacred"
but I don't know many people who are as fervent as Sacré of Caron. This scent has an almost sacred-hypnotic or sacral captivating aura and definitely needs a strong personality and the right occasion to be worn, because it is very powerful and very spacious. Sacré is in my eyes an autumn/winter fragrance and ideally it also fits very well into the Christmas season or the pre-Christmas period. When you wear Sacré, you don't wear the scent, you are worn by it on huge wings, you have to be aware of that! Sacré is and remains for me the kiss of an angel. A very powerful and powerful female angel. Protective, sensual, warming and sacred. That's Sacré!
You'll never meet an angel if you just look at the sky!
