Amazing Retro Creation
I can say that Cartier aimed high for this parfum and they achived it flawlessly - it's a piece of timeless luxury made with a modern touch and a care with every possible detail. It simply fills me with joy staring at the bottle, the jewel like box, the golden package. It's a success of design. AND the scent inside of it is just another proof that Mathilde Laurent is one of the best perfumes of our time. She was able to do exactly the same thing as the design does and created a classic fragrance wich seems modern - just like they have restored a piece something very luxury without loosing the classic charm. I don't see any rose listed, but it has kind of rosy aura for me - or maybe an abstract floral aura with rose nuances, which is what i'm getting now. The fruit part seems less intense on me and this seems to be all about the elegance of the vintage base with a modern smoothness. It allures you with patchouli like nuances and a very chic musk with distant animalic nuances - it's soft and full bodied at the same time, gold and a little bit dirty. Altough i see it described as ferocious, for me it seems to capture all the elegance and languor of a panthere, one that i just become a prey. It went straight to the top of the best things i have tried so far this year.
