The overwhelming power of Chanel
After many years since its release, I tried this wonderful perfume. Many thanks to the very kind Tabla who introduced me to him.
The fragrance looks like a blend of Coco Madmoiselle from 2001 and Coco Chanel EdP, It contains the top notes (crystalline orange and bergamot) combined with the heart and base notes (spice, rose and patchouli) of Coco Chanel. The overall effect is a rose patchouli with citrus notes. The patchouli is very cleanly "processed by the technique of fractionation", eliminating the earthy component of the note and leaving a dark, woody, slightly smoky scent. The rose is the focal point of the fragrance and blends well with the spicy notes of the perfume. So the heart is formed by the rose, which has spicy and smoky aspects, but also a slight scent of fruity notes (dried fruit or plums).
The most interesting aspect of the fragrance lies in the base notes, which are ambery, resinous, woody and surprising. The amber base has been recreated with labdanum, which has ambery and woody notes and blends well with patchouli and vetiver.
She is undoubtedly the younger, more modern and worldly sister of Coco Chanel, but also the distant cousin of Coco Madmoiselle. A gorgeous perfume, soft and perfectly balanced like any other by Chanel.
I recommend it to all who love the refined but also overwhelming DNA of Chanel :)

Patchouly v. Panty? :D
Hey hey guys, I am here again today and describe a new fragrance. Of course it is not a new scent in itself, but only a scent that has been on the market for over 15 years and which of course everybody else except me already knew...
Hmm... I seem to be doing something wrong here, when I, as a frequent writer, don't know the scents that everyone already knows... :D

Anyway, today it's about Chanel Allure. No, of course I don't mean the men's fragrance Allure Homme or even Allure Homme Sport, which is recommended again and again at fragrance consultations (similar to Aventus), because it is said to have the ability to pull down the ladies' panties (or as some people say: panty-dropper...) if a guy approaches the ladies with this scent (which is not true at all, by the way... or... and that's more likely... again, it just doesn't work for me *sigh* ... :D Good thing I tried Allure Homme Sport as a bottling instead of getting a bottle of it drooling... :DDD). No, it's the women's fragrance Allure Sensuelle EDP, a quite popular scent by Chanel, but somehow not so much noticed lately. Anyway, it seems to me that this is because I had always seen how everyone preferred to sniff other Chanel scents and the Allure line was more noticed by guys (besides Bleu de Chanel).

But all right, back to the allure sensuelle. According to Chanel's website, this is a fragrance that is supposed to express the sensual side of a lady. It should fascinate everyone like a radiant woman with a lot of self-confidence... well,... descriptions are just a thing in themselves, and exactly such descriptions you can read about every second fragrance on the market, so the description is rather meaningless for me personally :D
Anyway, now we come to the fragrance, I hope that the scent is better than the description :D

The smell:
The fragrance begins with floral scents, but above all with citrus notes. I can smell a mix of oranges, lemons and peaches, all smelling nice together. But it is not citric tangy but more creamy, which is of course also quite nice. Shortly afterwards I smell an intense patchouli note, which smells earthy and gives me the feeling that this scent could be quite intense later, but wait and see.
Pink pepper provides a little fruity sweetness, which might come from the candied fruit later on, at least I feel as if I perceive such scents, but honestly this is only appreciated as I wouldn't necessarily think of it if it wasn't written here.
After a while, i.e. after 30 minutes to an hour, the scent becomes much more patchouli-heavy and thus smells both very earthy and quite ripe. Patchouli is then clearly the main scent and basically covers all other scents, such as the sweetish notes, which are much less pronounced, or the gentle scents like vanilla, which now also take a back seat.
And basically it already was, because I had the feeling that the fragrance did not change after the heart note. I think that's a pity, as from now on until the end, the only thing you smell from now on is patchouli, while everything else takes a back seat to such an extent that you can hardly smell it, you only notice a small mix of amber/vanilla and incense, but only if you concentrate. Thereby, in the end, the scent remains a little monotonous for me, what wouldn't be bad if a scent continuously smells like a scent note, but patchouli is not really my thing... for me, there are from there much more beautiful Chanel scents. But maybe you like it better!
The Sillage and the durability:
The sillage is above average in strength and therefore not only smells good at a short distance. So for a while you will be able to smell good, but without scenting the whole room, I think... :D
The shelf life is over eight to ten hours, which is pretty good.

The bottle! The bottle is rectangular and, despite its simplicity, makes a rather high-quality impression. The lid is cylindrical and has two parts, which means it's burgundy, but it also has a chrome section in the middle, and on the top of the lid, you can still see the Chanel logo. A nice bottle, which, as I said, also looks a bit simple.

Conclusion:
I have to say that Chanel Sensuelle EDP started out well, but then I personally got a little too much patchouli-heavy. For patchouli fans, the fragrance is certainly a feast, but for me it makes the scent look a bit monotonous, slightly old-fashioned and a little dry (even if it should look softer). I wouldn't recommend the fragrance to younger ladies in particular, especially not for going out or celebrating, as it might not look very sexy now. For normal, social occasions, i.e. going out to dinner or such things (or also discreetly dosed at work) you can of course use the fragrance, especially from, uh... 30, 40, 66 and up? Mu ha ha, ne ne, I don't play age games with you ladies here, meanwhile I know you here too well and know that no matter what I say, it is ALWAYS WRONG, no matter what I say... *sigh* :DD

Honestly, the beginning was quite nice, but then I liked the smell less and less. Of course, that's just the way I feel. It's kind of like scents with coriander. It could be the most beautiful fragrance in the world for most people, but I would run away every time because I absolutely can't stand coriander. Tastes are just different, so the same applies here: Just test it independently of my description and decide for yourself :)

However, I would recommend the autumn and winter for a test, as it was already quite overwhelming for me on warm days!

Well, I hope I didn't annoy you ladies too much and wish you all a nice evening :)

Hustle and bustle at night
As a child, there was nothing more exciting for me than going to the carnival in the evening (editor's note: elsewhere also called "Kirmes").
The music, the laughter, the lights, the smell of the stands with the sweets, the summer warm wind, being outside at night - so mysterious and exotic, like in another world.
I was only marginally interested in the merry-go-rounds, but I could never get enough of watching others on the rides, hearing their whooping and screeching, seeing their beams when they staggered out of the gondolas with wobbly knees.
I loved this atmosphere, more than once I dreamed of being able to ride with the showmen, of being an everlasting part of this magic.

As a teenager I fell in love more than once with the tattooed guards at the bumper cars and not only the warmth of the summer nights made me sweat when they smiled, while I fought with my candied apple, the people around me smiled and everything seemed so light, almost weightless.
And again I would have loved to go with you.

To this day I still love summer carnival nights, markets in the evening, late street parties.
Sparkling, enchanted, floating everything appears to me.
The stress seems to roll off the people like drops on a glass, they finally have time, smile at each other and appear very soft and young in the glow-worm like light.

Allure Sensuelle takes me by the hand like my parents did before and I am back on the hustle and bustle, in a mild night full of light, cheerfulness and excitement.
The handsome guy from the booth back there winks at me, I hear the laughter from the merry-go-rounds, bites into my love apple and, this time for real, I'll go with him.

Sophisticated in the summer
After I have already captured a statement about this fragrance, here comes a comment. Thanks to a dear Parfuma, I was able to enjoy a small sample of Allure Sensuelle via the souk. Here are my impressions: The scent starts sourly citric, it almost smells like grapefruit. After a few minutes, the citrus withdraws a little and the candied fruit emerges, giving the fragrance a smooth, silky note. The whole thing is accompanied by creamy vanilla and some incense. Here the scent reminds a little of orange juice with vanilla ice cream. This fragrance is noble and elegant, sophisticated and sophisticated, warm and cold. It is changeable and fits well into autumn, but also around summer you can wear it well. I think he's great for going out at night. The woman who wears it wears a small black dress and an elegant updos. Très chic!

"Something in the way she moves..."
Nobody could imagine that in that minimal, squared and almost austere bottle there's a so sensual scent!
I usually saw the fragrances by Chanel in their corner in my favourite drugstore and I used to spray mainly n.5 and Coco. But last saturday I was attracted by the name "Allure SENSUELLE " (sensual) and I was curious to test if it really was so sensual as the name said.
Well, at the first spray I smelled immediately the bright and citrusy notes made more interesting by the peppery touch. Then, I felt the feminin softness of the flowery heart with the unusual candied fruits note and the vetyver, giving a vibrant character to the scent. Finally, on my skin remained the more oriental base notes, such as the amber, a soft and not earthy patchouli and the wonderful frankincense accent.
This so sexy and classy bouquet reminded me of the first lyrics of the famous song by George Harrison "Something in the way she moves...". This is , in fact, the "allure", it's a way to move, to be, to be woman.
The sillage is very good although the fragrance is very balanced and not at all heavy. It lasts for many hours.
It's a precious mid season scent perfect to wear in the colder season too or by night if you want to go in crowded place where you need a good but not excessive sillage. The price is high, as well as all the creations signed Chanel, but it's a little jewel.

Maybe not every fragrance is made for everyone!
Typical example in my case: Allure Sensuelle by Chanel. I noticed Allure Sensuelle at a professional event. A lady, with whom I have to do professionally (tall, slim, dark hair, former top athlete, self-confident and extremely nice) passed me and a wonderful, extraordinary, memorable scent grazed my nose. After that happened a few more times during the evening - and even though I had my hands full and was quite distracted, I finally asked her about her scent. She told me laughing that she had found the scent just like that. Every time she left the house in the morning, a former neighbour had left a delicate touch of "Allure Sensuelle" in the stairwell - and she had also asked for the scent after some time. So on to the test: And indeed: a wonderfully fresh prelude, but with which already clearly oriental sounds mix. I can sniff orange, pepper and vanilla, bewitchingly mixed with floral-fruity sweetness. The fragrance develops wonderfully on the skin, patchouli can be clearly smelled later. I am thrilled by the fragrance, from beginning to end, which comes after a very, very long time. After a full 8 hours I still catch myself parking my nose on my wrist! Despite its opulence, "Allure Sensuelle" never gets on my nerves, but I feel it as cuddly, sensual and erotic. Beautiful!
So why didn't the fragrance immediately end up on my wish list and then in my collection? Well, I'm afraid it has something to do with how I met him: a dark-haired, dark-eyed, sensual, extremely attractive, self-confident lady, to whom "Allure Sensuelle" simply fits perfectly. And I'm not so sure whether the fragrance would really come into its own with me... a lack of self-confidence? Yes, I suppose so. maybe I'll just let some time go by and test it again!

Another Jacques Polge Masterpiece!!!
Gorgeous floriental! Two thumbs up! WAY UP!!

I just acquired this fragrance and have only worn it once thus far, but it is absolutely swoon-worthy! Only the original Coco EdP and a couple of the Les Exclusifs EdT's can compete with Sensuelle EdP. I recently purchased Coco Noir, too, but this is so much more impressive than either Coco Noir or Coco Mademoiselle. Sensuelle is refined, elegant, and well, so very sensual!!

As one would expect, the top notes are delicious---very fresh, juicy orange, peach, and bergamot as well as a strong, clean, sparkling patchouli note predominate. Gorgeous Turkish and Bulgarian roses bloom in the heart alongside an elegant jasmine and a cool, sophisticated iris. If there is fruit here, it is fresh, juicy, ripe fruit, NOT candied fruit. Any sweetness is a very natural sweetness, not a candied, sugary sweetness. The heart almost approaches a gourmand at moments, but it never quite reaches gourmand status. It firmly remains a gorgeous floral Oriental throughout.

A clean, green, absolutely stunning vetiver accentuates the base along with a light, sparkling, clean patchouli and a bit of both sandalwood and vanilla. (This is how vetiver should be done, baby!) Lingering alongside these notes is the most heavenly incense note I have ever smelt in my life!! It is amazingly fresh throughout into the base notes despite that these notes are generally thought to be "heavy." I highly recommend this fragrance to lovers of both Orientals/Florientals, and fresh, green scents because it does have a wonderfully fresh, delicious vetiver and sparkling patchouli. It smells very expensive. Sensuelle is firmly one of my all time favourite Chanels now.

This is without a doubt a Jacques Polge masterpiece and unmistakably a CHANEL at its finest. This is perfume as Art! It is sophisticated, clean yet sensual indeed, and it will undoubtedly get you noticed by both men and women. It is breathtaking and unforgettable. It is completely signature worthy, and it is aptly named "Sensuelle." So happy I ordered this one!! : )

Oh, so very sensuelle...
When it comes to Chanel fragrances it is either a hit or miss with me. While I quite enjoyed the spicy Coco, the powdery and soft Allure and the fresh and exciting No.5 eau Premiere, other Chanels like No.19, Cristalle and the highly renowned No.5 left me dissatisfied.

However along came Allure Sensuelle which restored my respect for Chanel fragrances. The scent is unique, stylish, rich and spicy. A scent that will certainly rouse up the men and awaken your animalistic desires.

Do not be turned off by the opening which tends to be rather strong and alcoholic. Once you wait it out for a few minutes, a gorgeous dusty yet sexy spice warms the skin.

In reality Allure Sensuelle is a combination of a variety of smells; spices, woods, musk, fruits and flowers. Somehow all these notes blend together successfully. I'm still in awe of this fragrance.

The patchouli note is dominant, so I'll admit that this won't appeal to some. The vanilla note also lingers in the background creating a slight sweetness and comforting warmth.

The sillage and lasting strength is unbelievably good, so good that you would find it quite overbearing in the warmer months, so it is best worn at night or during Winter.

Overall, Allure Sensuelle is indeed very sensual. Chanel never fails in producing elegant and sophisticated scents.
