It is heavenly to walk barefoot across a meadow covered with dew...
The round, pretty pink bottle appeals to me, because I haven't seemingly given up my pink phase yet. I love to wear pink T-shirts, blouses, cardigans, scarves and trousers, decorate here and there with pink tablecloths, fresh flowers and boxes. I also have pink wrapping paper ready to hand at all times. And so it's only natural that I'm particularly fond of looking at pink perfume bottles. This bottle is shaped like a disc and fits comfortably into my hand. A special contrast is provided by the gold-coloured neck of the bottle, on which a silver, accentuated angular cap in the shape of a square is enthroned. It is once again a tasteful design, which together with the typical Chanel inscription is a real 'eyecatcher'.
The colour pink is composed of red and white and symbolizes love, the romantic love that is characterized by devotion, optimism and gentleness. And indeed, this fragrance is particularly romantic and loving, soft and light as a feather for me. Nevertheless I would like to add the colour green to it at least at the opening, namely a soft pastel green. The first powerful sprayers, which I treat myself to every now and then in the course of the fragrance, immediately put me on a fragrant early summer meadow where numerous bushes of farm jasmine are in bloom. The smell of this variety is invigorating, brightly radiant, exotic, freshly spicy, discreetly honey-sweet and slightly nutty. Creamy white roses - perhaps true to root albaroses with their citric and musky smell - are also at home on this green meadow. I sit in the middle of it and peel fruits, which I have bought completely fresh on the market: Pear quince, bergamot and grapefruit. Already now in the raw state a delicious smell rises into my nose, but if I process the fruit first to jam, it is downright beguilingly aromatic.
The ingredients listed here are jasmine absolute and rose, with jasmine playing the main role. Its flowers are picked preferably at dusk, when the small petals have closed tightly and do not give off their fragrance unnecessarily. In the past, they were soaked with olive oil for days on end on a cotton cloth to obtain perfume oil. Only in this way is it possible to create the noble, highly valuable 'Concrete' through liquid extraction. A jasmine absolute is not obtained by the usual steam distillation, but the extraction takes place with the help of solvents at room temperature. This is what makes an Absolue, as it is often served for roses and jasmine, so particularly high-quality. This procedure is more gentle and the scent oil obtained is higher in concentration and thus much closer to the scent of the original plant.
So the fragrance starts fresh, intense and very stimulating, but unfortunately this pleasure doesn't last very long on my skin, although fragrances usually last longer than average. Already after 40 to 60 minutes the intensity decreases significantly. I find this disappointing for an eau de parfum with a price of almost 50 Euro for 35ml. But the name "Eau Tendre also promises shallow or soft water...
I'm giving Chance Eau Tendre a good chance. It's a nose flatterer like he says in the book. With the fruit aroma of grapefruit, lime and pear quince, with its gentle roses and the enchanting, wonderfully exotic Jasmine Absolue, which has beside its stimulating quite also erotic charisma, with the softly dripping musk honey and a touch of the finest cream soap, the house Chanel once again offers something very noble. Above all, this green meadow wetted by dew, which unfortunately can only be felt for the brief moment of spraying on, is the icing on the cake for me. As soon as I smell fresh, I have the feeling to walk barefoot over a meadow in the early morning. A heavenly feeling!
