The stag in the car workshop
A quasi like chiseled, perfect face, the midnight deer, you get curious about the fragrance and label. Anyway, Chiseled Face from the USA produces a lot of care products for men, beard care and shaving care should be mentioned here, as contrary as it is, beard wearers often use both. So the way to perfume is basically not far off. As it is natural for a manufacturer of masculine care, a workshop fragrance for the bearded ones among us should not be missing (not really meant seriously).
But why do I write about Midnight Stag at all, where the esteemed Caligari and the no less esteemed Stanze have already written about it? I would like to describe my impressions because - I'll say it in advance - a fragrance for so little money seldom has such a class and doesn't look particularly synthetic.
So we start with clearly recognizable birch tar which acts smoky but does not overflow everything and sets the smoke detectors in alarm mood. Actually, it has more of a smoky barbershop at the beginning and resembles Burning Barbershop from D.S.& Durga in intention, not in scent. The bergamot sounds through, provides a fresh impact, otherwise we have a kind of refined, oily birch tar.
It gets spicier relatively quickly, the cedar takes over sublimely, accompanies the fragrance and the protagonists of Midnight Stag more and more. These are and remain, among other things, the above mentioned ingredients and the smoke. The smoke does not originate from a fire but wafts through the room with spicy nuances. We have Russian leather in the form of birch tar, which now complements the smoke and helps to build up different smoking smells. Insanely exciting, you first have to create that. You can literally perceive how aromatic and warm smoke coexists next to cold and unapproachable smoke.
There is always a sublimely resonant note that is difficult to identify with and that lifts Midnight Stag out of the masses. Probably it is indeed the lubricating oil because this typical oil smell is definitely contained here. This mixture is olfactorically rare to find but perfect in form. This here is indeed a kind of ultimate workshop smell. This is really the oily, leather work apron.
These worn leathery notes rise successively from the smoke and have something of noble seating furniture from a men's club, which have absorbed smoke over decades but have always been cared for and therefore still exude a distinguished aura.
This fragrance is not an extreme smoky scent but it certainly consists of ingredients that would put many people to flight. The creation here is intense but very wearable and perhaps an alternative for all those who use Beaufort etc. Exciting but not wearable. If only it was better to get. One way or another: to the midnight deer I have only one thing left to say: RÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖHRRRRRRRRR!

Alice in Lederland
It was midnight. A warm summer night. Alice stopped at the gas station. She got off the motorcycle, took off her helmet and swung her long blond hair in slow motion. She had legs all the way to the floor, and the legs showed off particularly well in the skin-tight leather gap. While she was filling her tank, an American car exploded nearby (they always explode in movies, too). The smell of smoke mixed with engine oil and tar joined the smell of the gasoline she was filling. Then she saw a white deer driving into a gully in a Smart. That seemed strange to her, because a deer doesn't usually fit into a Smart. She paid for the gas. The cashier stared at her. The stag had been much stranger (she found).

Alice got on her machine and left it on. The engine was bubbling full. She drove into the gully and followed the white deer. Fortunately, the inside of the gully turned out to be much bigger than one would expect from a gully. Alice ended up in a maze with lots of traffic lights all on red. There stood the Smart, next to it the white deer holding out its thumb, or hoof. Alice stopped.

"What's your name?" Alice asked the deer with her deep, smoky voice. But he remained quite casual and roared. The deer gesticulated wildly and pointed to a door that was slowly but surely approaching. It said "Lederland".

Alice could rarely resist an opportunity to buy clothes. She opened the door and entered. Inside, everything was lined with leather. There was leather furniture, leather lamps, leather clothing, leather glasses and leather perfume. The stag turned out to be a salesman and stalked Alice for several hot clothes. All she wanted was the leather perfume in the leather bottle. The stag held up various leather signs (since he could not speak, which is a difficult situation for a salesman). It said, "Leather perfume is for men only." Then Alice laughed and settled in properly. There all Lederland smelled like Alice and from a back room a horde of leather playing cards came as a bouncer and Alice woke up.

She'd slept for three hours. On her wrist she could still see a very beautiful but weak scent of incense and synthetic.

Conclusion: Midnight Stag is not for people with weak nerves. Contrary to the official website, however, I am of the opinion that it is unisex. Anyone crazy enough to wear it could be a woman. Head and heart notes are a cacophony of the most violent leather with a fair amount of engine oil, gasoline and, because of me, gun cleaner. Everything is surrounded by a large cloud of smoke. The base (after about an hour and a half) is very delicate, beautiful and consists mainly of incense. Maybe it's worth keeping the sample for that. Family tester M contradicts this and says that Midnight Stag is only good if you have a cold and want to blow your nose. You can only wear Midnight Stag in any season if you are a little crazy and you should only bother your fellow men with it after at least one hour. But overall I found it a nice experience.

Just read the scents and keep silent...
Also again such a "Karteileiche" as search discovery.

I adore (most) Beaufort scents. But honestly, are there so many occasions to wear these scented extremists?

One level below there is a whole range of technical fragrances, which are more suitable for everyday use here. And in case of emergency you can still use excuses like: "just come out of the workshop / from the cellar / from the factory / from the colliery etc.", so you lack a certain amount of self-confidence. A few months ago CinisLabs' "Son of a Gun" was again such a positively appearing, concise scent. The technical fabric is particularly dense, almost impenetrable. "Midnight Stag is more diverse here. The individual nuances can be better detected here. The top note can hardly be better designed with this type of fragrance. An explosion in the wood carburetor. Sparks spray. And this means that there is still enough oxygen in the air to allow the scents to develop and lift accordingly. The oil. The leather. The wood. Braided as a braid and not fused into an unnatural lubricating cloth. What I like here like no other fragrance is the spontaneous emergence and pulling up of smoke clouds. Insulated and detached from the upper layer of the machine. Like protuberances, pure smoke flickers into my nose and briefly fades over the oil-wood-leather carpet. A bizarre symbiosis.

Chiseled Face have a cooperation with Zoologist, by the way. That's why they incorporate their scents into their shaving soaps. Given the smell, I'm not surprised.
