My Christmas present
Do you also give yourselves presents at Christmas from time to time? Personally, I like to do that. You always have special wishes that you fulfill yourself the easiest. Since I'm currently looking at Ebay again often, I thought I'd look for the little blue Casmir flanker that I always loved to wear in my youth. And this one was - you wouldn't believe it - still available. Good thing, the chicken thought, and yesterday she was able to receive her Christmas present in time for the holidays. So this morning I didn't think long about what my Christmas scent for this year should be and I want to present it to you right away. He has not even a comment.

According to Parfumo, this flanker should smell aquatic-synthetic. Can I sign both so not. Aquaten I usually do not like at all. With Calone & Co. I take quickly times Reißaus. I would describe it as oriental-fresh, because the Casmir character is there, even if they skimped a bit on the vanilla in this blue cutie. It's not even listed in the pyramid, but again, we have a hint of vanilla that forms a harmonious, well-known foundation with sandalwood, amber and musk. Patchouli as in the original-Casmir I smell here none, making it lighter and a bit more transparent.

What probably could give a slightly aquatic impression, are the aldehydes in the top note and some freesia in the heart. Both his brother - a true thoroughbred Oriental - has nothing to show. The aldehydes here give this fragrance an airy charm, though at no time does it become soapy or waxy. The additional floral notes, besides freesia we also have a rose, are delicate and spring fresh. This fragrance also doesn't seem floral at all. A touch of neroli in combination with the mandarin enhance the freshness effect. And that here on the rose geranium and likewise on jasmine was renounced, helps the fragrance also to something more lightness.

The fruit notes are almost identically obstructed as in the original. Peach is clearly perceptible, which is for me one of the most important protagonists of Casmir. In addition, a touch of apricot joins here, which I can not perceive now, however, separately.
The fragrance is a fruity Oriental, just like the original. Since the sweetness here was somewhat dimmed, he is however prima all year wearable and even fits wonderfully on balmy summer evenings. Unfortunately, there is no information about the perfumer. I would have liked to know whether we have to owe this flanker also Monsieur Almairac.

For me, this eau de toilette from the house of Chopard brings a smile to my lips this Christmas. I owned a bottle of the little blue one about 20 years ago and remember too fondly this darn year how lovely it was then. I'm very happy to have it back in my collection.

To all the perfumos I have not yet written to personally, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a happy holiday season. I am so happy that you exist, you dears!

The Polly
