Spring is coming and the cat is leaving!
Hello folks! I'm finally back after such a long time. First of all: I wish you all a happy new year! Whew... it's already February, that's a whole month late... but I've been too busy with... cats! Yes haaa, that's actually true. The cat lady has become very, very exhausting and energy-sapping lately. Well, some of you know that my cat has been deaf since birth. That's why I can't let her out unsupervised. But luckily we live on the first floor of a three-family house, so we have access to the garden. We have therefore secured part of the garden so that the little one can at least stay outside, which often works quite well. But unfortunately she always finds new ways to escape.
Like the other day when she discovered that the tomato plants in a wooden frame (the frame serves to stabilize the tall plants so that they don't topple over in wind and weather) don't have any tomatoes in winter and so there is no dense plant material! So she could easily jump onto the pots and from there jump up onto the wooden frame. From there it went on to a windowsill and then, over the net and hooray off to freedom! :DD Ufff... now we've fixed that up again, it's only a matter of time before she finds another weak spot somewhere and runs off again, argh!!!!
So, but this is supposed to be about fragrances, despite all the difficulties I was able to try one or two fragrances again... so today I'm introducing you to the fragrance "Forever and Ever" by Dior, which was released in 2006. The fragrance was reformulated in 2009 and included in the "Les Créations de Monsieur Dior" collection. The fragrances in this collection are intended to evoke Christian Dior's most beautiful dresses. There are only a few fragrances in this collection, and each of these fragrances is also considerably more expensive than a "normal" Dior fragrance. Well, now comes my description of what the fragrance was like for me!
There's a bit of musk at the end, but otherwise I smell almost only delicately sweet, floral notes, although the fragrance also leaves a great, clean and creamy impression.
The fragrance smells the way spring smells. Like a good mood, like flowers blooming happily and, to use the words of a friend: like colorful exploding trees (and other botanical stuff... :D). If you test it, please only do so when it gets warmer again. Otherwise you will hardly notice the scent, as it is quite light. And that's also the biggest catch with this fragrance: for being so damn short-lived and light, it's damn expensive! But if that doesn't bother you, feel free to test it, after all, this is Parfumo, a forum for crazy fragrance fanatics who stick their noses in everywhere and... once you're infatuated with a fragrance, the price almost doesn't matter anymore, you freaks, you!!!! (And it's even contagious, because although I always moan about short-lived fragrances with weak sillage, I also have a fragrance that doesn't last 10 minutes on me and, like this one, is really expensive... ... Tom Ford - Mandarino di Amalfi... ufff.... :D).
Well, that's it from me again. I wish you all a nice evening, and I... I'm going to check the fence in the rain to see if it's still holding, because despite the rain my little cat keeps wanting to go out because, like you ladies here, she's also quite crazy... :D Oh, by the way, I've added two or three new pictures of her to my album!
See you then!

The fragrance:
The fragrance begins delicately, softly, somewhat creamy and very slightly sweet. It is of course mainly floral, but fortunately not overpowering (I know, I say that a lot...). Of the floral notes, however, I somehow have difficulty perceiving the freesia listed in the top note. After a few minutes, the roses start to appear. I can also smell the first signs of vanilla (which is loose here), which is quite nice. After a short while, I'm finally hit by a scent that reminds me a little of freesia (okay, I don't know anything about freesia, but I'm just using a process of elimination to classify this scent as freesia... you didn't actually think I knew what freesia was, did you? After all, I almost always type in frisbee first instead of freesia... he he :D), but this scent remains far in the background. There's a bit of musk at the end, but otherwise I smell almost only delicately sweet, floral notes, although the fragrance also leaves a great, clean and creamy impression.
The sillage and longevity:
The fragrance feels so light that you have the feeling that it will disappear immediately. Even if this is not really the case, the radiance is still quite weak, so that it will hardly be noticed by anyone, even with a larger dosage, unless you are in the immediate vicinity. This means that it only lasts for a few hours and most of it will only be noticeable close to the body. The bottle:
The bottle is clear, thin and rises slightly upwards like a trapezoid. There is a round indentation on the front in which the fragrance name is printed on the glass. The fragrance liquid is light pink and therefore matches the delicately sweet scent. The neck of the bottle is chrome-plated and looks like a spool of thread. A hemispherical lid sits on top. All in all, a beautiful bottle. Conclusion:
As I wrote at the beginning, this fragrance is simply beautiful. I'm pretty sure that you girls might really like it (at least I hope so, otherwise I doubt my nose..... aaaaaarghh.....!) despite my different tastes and fragrance impressions. I would even recommend filling the fragrance into a small atomizer, as it is unfortunately quite weak and should therefore be sprayed more often. The fragrance smells the way spring smells.
