A tumultuous opening ...

Tumulte opens up on me with an overly sweet yet dirty burnt cotton candy smell. The opening lasts more than an hour. Finally by hour 2, the sweet rose smell comes shining through. To my nose, it is a sweet pink rose. I love this phase quite a lot. Overall lasting power is only 4-5 hours on me and waiting for the rose to emerge is hard because of that opening smell. A fun scent to keep on testing and getting to know. While I love the bottle, I can't justify a purchase of this due to the opening smell.

La Vie En Rose ... Jam

Oh how I so love these Rose Gourmands.

It's in the same vein as Rose Absolue by Yves Rocher, and to a certain extent Rochas Tocade; a sugared, mouth-watering fragrance that gives you a great big hug soon after you put it on.

It does start slightly sharp and spicy, but very soon mellows out into what can only be described as rose jam.
It embraces the skin like a caress, and stays there, acting as a soft veil.
Very feminine and sensual, with a slight naughtiness to it.

If you try to be all things to all people, you'll end by being nothing to anyone

One look at the bottle of Christian Lacroix's TUMULTE, and it's obvious that this perfume was intended only for Christmastime. Do the contents of the bottle deliver on the promise made by the bright red all covered with fanciful gold graphic designs of eyes, mouths, and what not?

TUMULTE is quite sweet but also flowery, with tonka bean and patchouli dominating. Somehow it resonates with my memories of ADDICT. On the other hand, it also evokes fleeting memories of many other scents as well.

TUMULTE is appropriately named, for it doesn't really know what it wants to be. Indeed, this fragrance seems to be a sort of identity crisis in a bottle. TUMULTE is literally all over the map, to my nose, a more or less incoherent perfume, though certainly not repulsive. I won't throw the bottle away. Nor will I wear it again before, perhaps, next Christmas!

There is a moral to this storybook scent as well: If you try to be all things to all people, you'll end by being nothing to anyone.

Gray to Red

In a cold gray winter's day nothing but
sobering colors of different shades of gray Depressing bleak of winter feeling traped and there's no hope until you come across a faint red Orb under the sleet of snow brushing the snow off
your curiosity got the best of you
you gently touched the orb and your
starled by a puff of a Thousand Red Roses falling to the ground you never saw this before bacause you where born
in the darkest Relm where winter never Ends and it's always Gray. and the second time yards of red silk came out
floating and falling on the ground and
melts the snow and relized what she's
done so she with excitement pushed in the orb so many times there came out Red satin walls with Dragon print Luxirous red with Red silk sheets Big red fluffy pillow Red Tassles on the side of the Cannopy Bed And pushed the orb again and Scent of Red Roses came
lingering through the room and Comsumed
by all the roses and all the Luxiourious

Her Pale white skin became Toasty Olive her Platnum Blonde hair Turned Jet Black. Her Gray Eyes became Black as cole her long white flowing gown became a revealing Short red Cheoungsam Dress
with Red Steletto heels. and one last
time the very last time pushed the orb
fire came bursting out and she turned in a dragon. and she was to rule in her firey Relm insted of ice this time is Fire
