I can't help it, the mob got here first
It wasn't always like that with me and the perfumes: The interest has always been there, I never had less than 10 bottles - but I didn't deal with it, just sniffed at everything and took what I liked with me. This way, instinctively, I found some very beautiful and very much appreciated scents (a blind chicken sometimes finds a grain). My interest in perfumery art, notes and perfumers came when suddenly I couldn't find anything, but really NOTHING, among the bottles that filled the shelves - they all kind of smelled the same or similar. Then I thought about the fragrances that my mom used to wear and that were just beautiful. Then I thought to myself: "Maybe there are these still somewhere, the google I times. For example, Climat Lancome or Mystere Rochas. And so I landed on Parfumo... Okay, long story, I digress, sorry.
So back then - before Parfumo - I only heard of one Provenzano: Bernardo (Binnu the tractor), Cosa Nostra boss from Corleone. The Italian police searched and hunted this guy for 40 years, but he never left Corleone - find the three mistakes! I found the story so funny and absurd! The Americans found Bin Laden faster - and he really hid better. And that's how Provenzano fragrances make me think of Mafia perfumes. I can't help it, the mob was there first.
And there we are (finally): "Nuit de Noces" - wedding night. This wedding is the result of a passionate and hot Sicilian love. Such marriages are not divorced, people live together until old age - or someone is killed by others out of jealousy. "Nuit de Noces" starts off just gorgeous, thick as honey. Bitter Sweet Symphony: Angelica and peel of ripe citrus fruits, heliotrope and vanilla, jasmine and rose in a syrup of melted amber - and all that not too scarce! A dark, sultry night under the Sicilian starry sky: very intense, very warm, very dark. This prelude is almost too difficult for me, but only almost - it is still warm outside. I think I would have enjoyed that in winter. It also becomes quieter after about an hour and a half: flowerier, creamier, sweeter, more sweet - and yes, perhaps also more feminine, but fortunately Angelica's slight bitterness is still there. I think I even smell some coffee - black, strong and sweet. My associations with the Sicilian mafia or not: A very interesting fragrance - beautiful and very worth testing.
