Comforting for bed time ...
My local niche store is promoting the Clean range of fragrances at a hefty markdown ... I'm a sucker for a good sale, so I bought a bottle of this and also a bottle of Clean Men. Surprisingly, I'm enjoying them immensely!
Unfortunately, I can't find any mention of Clean Lather on the company's website, so I am assuming that this particular fragrance has been discontinued. That would be quite sad, because out of the two this is the one I like more ... how typical!!
Clean Lather is straight up baby powder ... and does everything it says on the box :). It is clean, fresh and comforting, and as such would probably be better employed as something to keep for 'alone-time' ... or not :).
Even though there are a variety of notes listed, my nose picks up only the faintest traces of them. A very gentle citrus accord, faint touches of soft woods and very sheer floral notes, probably Violet or perhaps even Iris. It all hinges on a super clean (very difficult not to use that word for these frags) Musk note which I should detest being the Musk-o-phobe that I am, but don't. I love the smell of baby powder ... I find it extremely soothing!
My busy lifestyle doesn't leave much time for relaxation of the 'hot-shower-pj's-curled-up-with-a-book' kind, which Lather would be a perfect fragrance for. Nonetheless it would probably be great at bedtime and also really good to spritz on the linen before climbing in ... it's very cozy, especially now that Winter is reaching my neck of the woods.
The sillage here is not expansive but it is enveloping, while the longevity is average. Clean Lather is a comfort scent, for those times when being alone is just perfect :).
