Another your-skin-but-better with a floral lactonic aspect
A colleague of mine learned of my passion for fragrance and decided to gift me a few of her perfumes she had at home. I was really excited to find out if her tastes were similar to mine. This is one of her gifts!
I'm starting to realize I'm not someone who likes a your-skin-but-better type of fragrance. They're just not my vibe and they turn out weird with my skin chemistry. When I first dabbed it on me, I could smell the spiciness of the cardamom that pulled first and foremost. Thankfully, it ends up backing up just a little, but the rest of the perfume... It smelled exactly like an old person (who washes themselves, but y'know, they have a certain distinctive old scent?). Which was an immediate turn off. As the perfume carried on (about 30 minutes later), there was a shift in the notes. I could smell something that was reminiscent of Clean Reserve - Skin [Reserve Blend] Eau de Parfum . A soapy scent with some white flowers in the background. There also was this milky, lactonic accord. It was almost as if a piece of cotton had been soaked in milk and laid on my skin. Not necessarily disgusting, but certainly not my type of fragrance. As it dries down to the base notes, the creaminess of the praline does come through, mixed in with the ambrox which gives ends up giving a small synthetic accord (another turn off for me). The musk here played dirty too and it wasn't pleasant.
All in all, it won't be added in my collection because there were too many turn offs, but I recognize people liking skin scents could find something nice here. As for me, I'll be moving on swiftly (and sadly).
